C'mon guys. Those are just the little promotions for the latest CDL. No more news about CDL as the release date,... are announced. She just uploaded the short version without the professional editing.
Just watch and wait..

aliceshields 16th January 2016 05:10 PM

Her official blog on Made in Tokyo also using the Cowntdown as logo =_=

Aderianu 21st January 2016 01:11 PM

YukiUsagi 21st January 2016 01:26 PM

Oh my god, it's actually kind of hilarious now xD

indigochild 21st January 2016 02:52 PM

That cake looks freakin' delicious though :luv2

maxikot 21st January 2016 03:19 PM

This will be writtten in the cards of history ^_^ I would understand if it was used literally everywhere so i could think it was for some unknown purpose but in the text on website it's Countdown xD Now i think that the moment Ayu realizes this mistake she will decapitate herself and laugh at the same time.

Ryusei 21st January 2016 05:35 PM

omg on the cake too I can't

adantatu2 22nd January 2016 04:10 AM

I'm glad this mistake didn't come on goods

Pieces_of_SEVEN 22nd January 2016 07:25 AM

I can't. I don't really find it funny. I find it lazy, unprofessional, and embarrassing. I swear, ayu's staff seriously all (at least maybe half, but almost all), need to be fired and she needs to have a stern meeting about what she wants to do from here on out, because this is turning her legacy into some BS. I don't care for it. :/

YukiUsagi 22nd January 2016 07:31 AM

But Ayu finds it funny :roflmao

Andrenekoi 22nd January 2016 09:47 AM

This is a japanese artist releasing something to a japanese speaking audience... a little english miss speling is not a big deal...

pimenta 22nd January 2016 12:04 PM

Her staff either really doesn't know how to spell countdown and keep writing it wrong again and again, or doesn't even care to double check before sending the wrong logo everywhere... Either way, I bet a big part of the Japanese fans won't even notice. Probably the person who made the writing on the cake didn't even know the right spelling either and just copied the logo they send him/her.
At least the goods had the correct one... as long as the right logo is on the DVD, I'm fine.

The only thing that bothers me is WHY did they even keep the wrong logo. They wouldn't be putting the wrong one everywhere if they had deleted it and replaced with the right files to begin with.

attractive nausea 22nd January 2016 12:05 PM

^^ This, i don't see why people are making such a big deal out of nothing.

ExodusUK 22nd January 2016 02:05 PM

It is a big deal, it's funny the first time but the fact that none of them have realised is embarrassing. The language excuse doesn't wash as they've managed to do quite well for 15 years now with the word "Countdown" and Ayu is quite proficient at English herself. Her team has no quality control now, I mean, they just released an album with terrible mastering and mixing (the low vocals on the new classical album) but no one seems to care anymore.

maxikot 22nd January 2016 02:19 PM

Is there really no way to send a hint about it? I tweeted but what is a tiny tweet among thousands she gets daily.

Certainly, they sent the wrong logo to the different sectors and noticed after the mistake and the communication for the correction wasn't followed everywhere. Unfortunately, bad communcation often happens in this world. Even if you sent the correction or a directive, it's not sure that the other'll understand it or will apply it.
Quite paradoxical with all the means of communication today but that's the reality.

oaristos 22nd January 2016 03:43 PM

It doesn't matter she is a Japanese artist releasing music for the Japanese music market: if you're going to use a foreign language, use it properly. One thing is to make a mistake on Twitter, but they didn't bother to correct it later. I don't think this is her fault at all but, as someone mentioned in this thread, some people from her staff need to be fired. This kind of mistake wouldn't be acceptable anywhere else.

MessiahofSilence 22nd January 2016 04:27 PM

Now I want a ranch themed CDL

280301 22nd January 2016 05:29 PM

I agree, and have wondered over the last few years why Ayu hasn't been more stern with her staff (close friendships perhaps?), but now it seems to be all sectors of her career, not simply her marketing and creative team. At the core of it though, it does come down to Ayu and Avex. I genuinely believe that Ayu could be a far more popular at the moment, I think her lyrics are universal and timeless in ways, and she has a fantastic ear for melody. Moreover, she is stylish and modern, I quite enjoy seeing her fashion choices on her instagram and in ViVi. I believe she has all the potential to continue being a popular artist, perhaps even attaining the legendary status that has been attributed to Amuro (who I believe has been exceedingly intelligent with her team, particularly her marketing), but she's failing on so many aspects at the moment, and some are aspects (i.e. simple spelling and grammar checks) that you really wonder how on earth they have slipped through the cracks.

I think another example was this countdown. So much potential, not enough expansion and execution of ideas.

Andrenekoi 22nd January 2016 05:42 PM

If this is such a huge problem, jpop should be avoided at all considering the amount of engrish on it, even on recorded tracks from big artists...

xLuna&1LOVE 22nd January 2016 06:01 PM

^ hey now, that is way over the top. People are only calling out the misspelled word because it is and it looks sloppy. Countdown lives exist for years and this is the first time it was spelled wrong. If you ask me I would call that unfortunate. Oh well, at least it is not spelled like Cuntdown.

And to be fair, speaking as a copywritter, "countdown" has been written with the same typography on the same arrangment for years now in her material, I won't be surprised if most of the time they simply copy and paste it from the previous logo. When you are reading a text usually human brain only need the first and final letters and the lenght of the group of letters to form an word, so much that the discussion around the logo over here, for example, runned for a while before someone noticed it and pointed it out. Considering "countdown" is always written the same way and the mistake doesn't change much the lenght of the word visual-wise, the people who proofread the logo most likely focused on what was new info ("made in tokyo", the years) and read the wrong word superficialy (first and final letter and the lenght, instead of letter by letter). This is a pretty dumb mistake, but fairly common if the team is overworked, for example, and most design teams I know doesn't have any kind of professional writter or reader on them, considering they usually only deal with text as image, and not as words.

They most likely were overworked by a tight schedule, were dealing with a language they have little intimacy with and the "countdown" part of the text was out of their focus due to not being something all that new. As someone said before over here, once the mistake was noticed the print material was corrected, but the wrong logo was still used on some minnor digital stuff and on the cake because of some comunication fail.

It's still unprofessional and a big mistake from Ayu's team. This shouldn't happen again.

Andrenekoi 27th January 2016 11:45 AM

^It's the kind of stuff that happens... It's not even the first time, some of the LOVEppears material has something wrong on them too, I just don't remember what. The thing is, there's not error-proof worker or team in the world, and it's a good thing the error was noticed before the material was printed.

And I can't stop thinking that if it was Koda or Namie people would just laught it off instead as acting like she killed some puppies...

If it was koda, beyonce or madonna it would've been as unprofessional as with ayu. They are all super stars and things like this shouldn't happen. I know English is not a language japanese are used to, but the big companies must be careful with this kind of stuff. And c'mon... Countdown is a word they have written a thousand times before this year! It would have been as easy as google it or look it up.

Really, I know nobody is perfect, but after that "BILIVE" in Sayonara Pv, they should have learnt something...

Gustavopc 27th January 2016 01:07 PM

^ Yeah, one would think they learnt from that but... Many minor mistakes in a row make you wonder of things are being rushed on backstage. And don't get me started on Kuu typos, I am effing mad at avex adding "NEW ALUBUM" to all her WINTER of LOVE PVs title on YT :2dead Like we are not talking about someone learning a second language, but about staff of Japanese superstars who have already worked with people from many countries... It makes things look unpolished to me :(

I think the song title means "to count down" and not "the countdown".

Chris85 3rd February 2016 12:58 PM

The show will be rebroadcast on February 13th. The question is if the vocals are edited in this version and if someone records and uploads it :-) The vocals were edited for 1/31 rebroadcast of CDL CDM last year for example.

AyuGAME 3rd February 2016 03:59 PM

usually someone will record and upload it..hope it will happen for this CDL as well..

I believe they will fix some part that she sounded bad...

maxikot 13th February 2016 03:11 PM

I wonder if we will get this re-broadcast. I found this 30 seconds from countdown part on twitter https://twitter.com/rk_globe/status/698484478759469056 and compared with original live, they changed angles pretty much at least here so we could expect that to take place with the whole concert.

YukiUsagi 13th February 2016 03:49 PM

unfortunately, J-COM is not the channel which they usually record.

chocopockymaster 13th February 2016 04:12 PM

We had a J:COM rip last year though, didn't we?

YukiUsagi 13th February 2016 04:43 PM

last year, re-broadcasted by M-ON but this year's is J-COM.

Chris85 17th February 2016 12:58 PM

The concert will be broadcast for the third time on the 12th of March, this time on M-ON! channel. It's gonna be 2 hour version of the show. I'm sure it's the same as the one they aired this past weekend on J:COM TV, so the main show is not cut, but MC part, Ayu call, Urata Naoya and Tetsuya Komuro collaboration performances are cut and encore starts from Boys & Girls.
http://www.m-on.jp/program/detail/mon-live-ayu/
So let's hope rip from either broadcast shows up.

YukiUsagi 19th February 2016 06:22 AM

Maybe we should request ic_jp (jpopsuki) to record the show :D

Bad Wolf 21st February 2016 10:39 PM

They should continue that embarrassing 'cowntdown' misspelling through full DVD production. Say it's from Ayumoo Heifersaki and put everything in a cowprint pattern. They'd make bank.

spanishfan 22nd February 2016 04:10 PM

I can't wait to see what will be the changes from this CDL to the this Tour. I hope she'll do some dance-performance like in Game or Angel again. I like them more than this CDL's marionette's version.
And please, do it WARNING again, I want to see it live *___*

kaled kalil 23rd February 2016 02:10 PM

Well, I think Kumi's concert... just kidding. haha

I'm still waiting a proper footage of the CDL. The setlist was good, the camera work was shitty, the vocals were pretty bad, but the overall style was a good start (knowing that she'll probably expand the concept for the arena tour).

--

And I still don't know how people can compare the way that Ayu and Namie performs. It's not even the same audience.

Namie will always have the same idol dancing style, with the same hair and outfits with different colors, but with great songs and props, making the concerts fresh and new. This is her thing and that's what her fans like. She's good in her own way.

Ayu will always have the overdramatic performances, with more dancers than the whole crew to build the stage itself, with songs with lyrics that connect with her audience and with her life. Her broadway style is established as her main way of doing concerts, and that's what her audience like.

krtman2002 23rd February 2016 03:29 PM

I just want her not to start the concert with Green... I think it's one of her worst songs. I know it's a master piece for a lot of people but I can't stand taht song and... being the first time I go to an Ayu concert... I don't want her to waste time in that song.

I think that she should star with Part of me. If she does, I'll be the happiest person in the world! :P

Exactly. As a fan of both artists myself, I tend to expect completely different things from their concerts. I don't expect Namie to start doing those grand dramatic performances, and I don't expect Ayu to do more dance based performances with that "idol feeling" (I like the description you used). Their concert styles fit them, and it would be kinda awkward if they were to change and do what the other does, in either case.

---

I agree with not opening the concert with GREEN, though not because I dislike the song, I love it, but simply because it's not a good opening song imo. As much as I love GREEN, it's boring for a concert opening. I didn't like it as an opening on PCDL, an I didn't like it again on MADE IN TOKYO...

rainbow_smile 23rd February 2016 06:25 PM

I always thought GREEN was a good concert opener :laugh I actually always wanted to see an Ayu concert opening with GREEN live. But I think the original arrangement works better for opening a concert than the new one.

Ryusei 24th February 2016 01:52 AM

I wouldn't mind a completely different setlist tbh. This one was pretty good but idk I want her to kinda do different things (and I need 1 LOVE back lol)

JinHamasaki 24th February 2016 03:52 AM

I want a different setlist and a lot more flashy. MADE IN TOKYO had no big acts.

freedreamer 22nd March 2016 06:15 PM

I wonder why there is no release for this concert.

1) She is really just going to reuse everything. Even the setlist.
2) Beyond editable quality.
3) They just forgot all about it and focused on A BEST-15-.

Key question: do new angles better?

Finally, after 3 rebroadcasts we got this edited version, i almost lost hope :-) It was first aired back in the middle of February. Too bad they are back to that editing technique which makes her sound so robotic.

Some yes some no. I like warning better, ivy is dramatic especially the beginning when they show for literally ages stage from way back of arena and you can see Ayu ant.

After watching the whole and edited thing i find this countdown generally somehow...gloomy compared to other concerts. I don't know how to put it, just stage seems darker like less lights...or sth... aside from other issues this live suffered (tired Ayu being the main one). But I love green, warning and winter diary xD

After watching the whole and edited thing i find this countdown generally somehow...gloomy compared to other concerts. I don't know how to put it, just stage seems darker like less lights...or sth... aside from other issues this live suffered (tired Ayu being the main one). But I love green, warning and winter diary xD

Ivy really need to edit, tho.

The previous version shows that ayu got stuck by her dress at the beginning and she pulls the Japanese dress so hard off. Like, "F U C K, I am stuck." She literally needs to walk faster to keep the performance smoothly and on time.

Finally, after 3 rebroadcasts we got this edited version, i almost lost hope :-) It was first aired back in the middle of February. Too bad they are back to that editing technique which makes her sound so robotic.

Ryusei 27th July 2016 01:53 PM

Maybe they were like: f*ck it this is too bad to release it'll just give her a bad (worse) name

AyuGAME 27th July 2016 04:02 PM

HUH?! Why...it's an OK show...and some of the performances are not in MIJ Tour...I thought she will bundle this with MIJ album

Heavenly 27th July 2016 05:16 PM

I wonder how they will name the bundle if they do that :
M(A)DE IN TOKYO/JAPAN ?
M(A)DE IN NI-HON ?
M(A)DE IN AYU ?

(for the latter, I don't wanna give them ideas..... plz!)

Outback 29th July 2016 04:39 AM
