It's such a weird sensation not having the excitement about how the CDL would be!

AyuWorld 25th December 2017 03:29 AM

IKR! oh my CDL, the only thing that makes me excited for the new year's eve is Ayu and CDL >_>

Earth_maiden 25th December 2017 04:15 AM

CDL is such a staple, it feels weird not having one. And we're still waiting for a release on CDL16-17... :irked

It feels totally weird not having CDL...they probably won't be live broadcasting the show if it's not a CDL.

Yeah, I was always super stoked to see what she would do for the CDL cuz it was always either a preview for a new tour or just a cool side show. Guess this is more of a CDL 03-04 situation...but I think she still did do the countdown in the show if I'm not mistaken...

Bigtop 25th December 2017 08:12 AM

Really feels weird not having a CDL...but she's doing a different tour, and then again what about the lack of suitable CDL venues due to Yoyogi's closure for the Olympics in 2020?

~angel*ayumi~ 25th December 2017 09:54 AM

Is anyone going to the 31st concert and can grab me some chopsticks and bowl?
The mu-mo sales time start was so stupod this time I couldn´t make it and now I am super sad because I have every chopstick tiill now ;_;

2nd chapter??? Or 1st again?

rainbow_smile 25th December 2017 05:41 PM

^ 1st chapter. They're going to air the July 17th concert. You can see the details here: http://www.wowow.co.jp/detail/111112/-/01

pedronekoi 25th December 2017 06:39 PM

I really thought they would broadcast the 3 chapters separately :(

RealLight 25th December 2017 07:08 PM

Ugh -_-

truehappiness 25th December 2017 10:20 PM

We probably won't see this tour as a whole till what, summer 2018?

orbitalaspect 26th December 2017 05:37 AM

Does anyone else notice that Ayu is noticeably heavier in the pictures from the first chapter, slimmed down a bit in the pictures in the second chapter, and is back to her usual size in chapter 3 pictures? I just noticed that Ayu looked noticeably bigger in those chapter one pictures. Then again, she's a tiny person to begin with, so she probably had a slightly larger dinner the night before. :\

Depending on what medicine she was taking for her knee, this alone explain her figure.

Yep I always notice this, because like I always watch her vid after work so I tend to compare her look lol, surely she looked fuller in the pics of the 1st chapter, also since around 2014, the Premium Showcase, I noticed she gained some weight but still looking nice, muscular arms lol, but yeah nows shes kinda back to her normal size.

The most noticeable that she lost much weight is around 2012 You and Me era.

I hadn’t noticed, but you’re right.
Like another member said, it’s likely due to the medication that she was taking for her knee.

At least you’re making jokes about her weight and not her deafness this time.

ayumi_croatia 26th December 2017 06:06 PM

I never notice stuff like weight gain or loss unless it's drastic...these things are so beyond me

truehappiness 27th December 2017 10:06 AM

She likely gained weight during that portion of time where she had surgery and then lost it gradually.

FoxyPinkGirl 28th December 2017 04:37 AM

Does anyone know what the set list was for her Christmas/the 25th show?

ayuuk 29th December 2017 09:45 AM

Is anyone going to the 31st one? Kinda interested in knowing the setlist.

AyuWorld 31st December 2017 09:53 AM

cant wait to see pics from tonight's show

Zeke. 31st December 2017 06:34 PM

Went to 31st show. Not sure about setlist differences cause I abstained from looking at anything chapter 3 related so I would be surprised.

I saw Leslie again, I was in the same row as him.

Show was really good but for me her voice was noticeably more hoarse than when I attended Chapter 2s first day in Yokohama and the show in Saitama.

I will go again on the 5th. Looking forward to it.

Oh I didn't know about the hour, thanks! I don't feel like celebrating now haha

freedreamer 1st January 2018 05:39 AM

On another note, this is probably Ayu's first relaxed and calm New Year's Eve in an extremely long time :)

SayukiChoco 1st January 2018 08:12 AM

^ I thought the same. I mean, of course it's sad there is no CDL this year, but it's also the first time in years that she can celebrate New Year's eve like everybody else. I wonder though if she'll stop with CDL's now altogether, or if she just paused last year.

errikkutrancex 1st January 2018 11:05 AM

If there isn't new CDL TV broadcast "live", maybe it is due to bad critics. The 1st TV version, with no voice edit, is most of time really horrible to hear :( unfortunetly. Sometimes, because of her voice, and other time due to bad sound mixing...

It is a possibility, or maybe she prefers to prepare something better for 2018 !

Jenji 1st January 2018 01:54 PM

does anyone know if there is still a possibility to get a hand on tickets for her shows in February? I missed my chance applying for the lottery through the fanclub and I would love to go to one of the shows.

SKYia 1st January 2018 05:12 PM

I think the hall tour wasn't epic enough for tv, plus no CDL, or she knows she will have this setlist till finale and wants to show it later on.

Can I have a question? I have the TA tickets for Kobe and Nagoya, will I be able to find the place where I need to exchange them easily? Also, what do I need to have to exchange them for ticket? Will a print from LivePocket be enough? TA numer? My ID/Passport, anything else I need to know?

aliceshields 1st January 2018 06:06 PM

I feel strange without her CDL this year, not that I can attend, but, I feel like something is missing (or incomplete). 😕

International FC?
Then you need your ID/passport and digital TA license to show at TA booth directly at the venue.
At least it was so few years ago^^

So it's at TA booth? I guess I saw one at CDL14-15, with long line though, thanks :)

Sim' 1st January 2018 09:24 PM

The digital TA license and the LivePocket digital ticket aren't required anymore, they only check the ID/passport. That's because your name is written on a post-it behind the printed ticket (which is itself anonymous), so they ask you to confirm if it's your name before handing the ticket.

As for the TA booth, just look for this TA sign near the goods, you won't miss it.
(it's a table where 2 girls are sitting behind for the lottery and the exchange of tickets)
https://thumb.ibb.co/i6gmpw/20171203_205015.jpg

The lines were kinda inexistant for the Chiba (chap.II) and Nara (chap.III) shows, exchanging tickets at the TA booth was very fast.

Must have me confused with someone else. I have never made light of Ayu's hearing loss.

It's odd to see Ayu with more weight on her. Like, a part of me wants her to gain it back because she actually looks great. I also figured she may have gained weight from a combination of the stress from the divorce, surgery, and then finding out about her hearing loss in her right ear. Considering how crazy the last year has been for her, she is remarkably happy overall.

About her next album, I would love to see her go back to the four interludes, ten tracks format. Or even better, if she can pull off something with the feel of (miss)understood, that would be awesome. I am glad she did not end up releasing anything in 2017, but I also hope that it's because she is giving herself more time for her next album.

I know the days of singles and big budget PVs are over, but I still wish she would just say, "Fuck it. Let's spend $5 million on four singles, do 8 PVs, and do a 16 track album with all the bells and whistles. YOLO." She could certainly afford to do it as a one off thing. And since her achievements dont matter anymore, I doubt any of us would be sad even if the album and singles only sold 120 copies.

I miss when Ayu just did her thing. You know, like when she decided to push out Love songs 8 months after RnRC, or turn Secret into a full album at the last minute. She hasnt really just done what felt like a good idea, or really pushed herself to take on a challenge besides touring, in a long time.

truehappiness 3rd January 2018 09:37 PM

I think she just has to have the desire to push herself beyond things like this tour. If she wants to, she can do it.

EndOfTheWorld 3rd January 2018 10:40 PM

She won't change just on her own. I think she will need some kind of inspiration to return to that kind of mindset. I would like to see a new album like Secret or GUILTY. FLOWER has clearly become the standout track on Made In Japan and I think that Ayu should pursue a more rock orientated sound.

I also think she should pursue rock. Her voice has always sounded great with rock, but as her voice changed it didn’t continue to sound as great with other genres of music she’s chosen to make. Rock really is the only genre that truly compliments her current voice.

kendelle 4th January 2018 12:42 PM

So there's three AHS members attending Jan 31, in Nagoya, right? SKYia, myself and someone else? I think the third person was Hayasaki but I have a bad memory lol

Anyone know a good place near the venue that would be open for a post-Ayu concert meal? If the show starts at 7 it should finish about 9pm-ish. I know Nakau has decent food (and an English menu) and is open 24/7 :) Or we could meet up earlier in the afternoon and see if the army of Ayu cars shows up :D

Are they doing that lottery thing where you buy a CD and draw a straw for prizes?

I don't know the area around congress center so well, but Kanayama station is not far (subway 1 stop) and there are many options around there. It depends on the kind of food you want. Personally I go to Yamachan a lot with friends. It's an izakaya that serves chicken wings that are specific to Nagoya, but also has Japanese style food. Food is good and inexpensive. I think they have English on the menu as well.

Me too. Rock Ayu is my favorite Ayu. Her rock songs and her Ballads are the most memorable parts of her lives for me.

I also missed the lottery. I'm waiting for the general sale to start to buy from lawson's (l-ticke.com) but I'm also keeping an eye on tickets from ticket.co.jp . Hoping to get tickets for February 20.

Maybe we can write her a letter and have a bunch of people sign it? Or an online petition? I think we're all just sitting around hoping she notices, but she won't until we do something noticeable.

Hi! I'm attending the 29th show. :D The venue is near Hibino station which just a station away from Kanayama Station, our city's second busiest station. There are lots of shops and places to eat around the area. :)

I think this quote shows the way Ayu is. If she doesn't feel compelled or inspired to do something, it will never happen.:shrug
Didn't Ayu say she personally prefers rock music anyway? I think it suits her current voice as well. We won't know until the next album is released.:think

hayasaki 5th January 2018 05:54 AM

Speaking of new album, i can't believe 2017 ended without any Ayu album. Was it supposed to be her 20th album? perhaps it makes sense she decided to skip 2017 so her 20th album will be out on her 20th anniv. I can also sense a Best of Album probably doubled with the new album.

Miss the long album with 12-15 tracks in total, with 4-5 interludes... rock, soft rock, fierce rock and ballad, I’m dreaming...

280301 5th January 2018 01:56 PM

Honestly, I'll be disappointed if she doesn't release a 12-track album with interludes for her twentieth. It would be a shame if she didn't, Ayu has so much talent, she 100% could be relevant again, yet... :shrug

My personal wish is that she re-creates all her album covers. 2018 Ayu posing as Loveppears or Duty cover Ayu? I'd die. Sorry for going off topic~~~

I wonder what this tour will lead up to next year?

Ayumi_lover 5th January 2018 02:08 PM

I might be wrong but she said that she is coming back to Saitama in April again during the encore today. Or was I dreaming?
Anyway the show was really nice minus the costume of Timmy, or actually a total lack of it. He could do AV in that costume without taking it off really. But overall it was really good night! Very rock-ish setlist (same as on other dates)

I was on 17th row pretty much behind you. Right after the separation of first and second half of first floor areas. I’m still going to Kyoto and Shiga shows. But today was really a lot of fun! That’s a good spot! Good place to get the dancers attention.

I wondered about the T-shirt too the first two shows I went to. But someone on the forums said at a show they went to not everyone on stage had the ayu gear on.
I’m jealous you get to go to two more shows lol.

I checked their homepage, there is a Bruno mars concert in April so it is open, but no sight of Ayu yet in their event list.

I can't believe she is going to run this tour until February and then less than two months later she will be up and running again with a brand new concept. But I'm certainly looking forward to it! The perfect year to be in Japan I suppose.

I wonder if they are under instructions to not make the info public until avex has officially announced it?

voltron 5th January 2018 04:43 PM

I wonder if she'll do a limited run just for her anniversary month in April, or maybe she'll do something similar to this tour with chapters, having the first chapter (pre-A-nation) be Arenas, then followed by Halls.

Since I'll be going to the Namie tour in May, I'd really love to know if she'll be touring then before I book my flight. If I could manage to see both on the same trip that would be amazing, especially since it was always my plan to see Ayu's 20th anniversary tour, until Namie announced her retirement and that took precedence.

pedronekoi 5th January 2018 04:47 PM

Maybe Saitama will be the first dates just like CdM Tour.

Maybe it´s only 2 shows like Namie did on her Anniversary.
7th + 8th are weekend so it whould be perfect.

Saitama Super Arena? It’s not closed, I’m going there next weekend for another concert. But to be honest I don’t believe Ayu’s show will be there.
It’s 35k people, (more than twice bigger than Yoyogi), just to make tickets lottery and make sure enough people enter it, the announcement should have been made already. Leave alone preparing stage and the show for such a big venue while touring until end of February will be almost impossible. And to sell Saitama Super arena show with her current popularity she would need a lot of promo for which there is no time left.
Most likely she will just come to Sonic City Hall again.

Saitama Super Arena can have the seating arrangement adjusted to fit 10-20K people using a moving block system.

Saitama Super Arena was the first dates for CdM Tour that I attended and there was almost none empty seats. I think April is too early to have something! For the whole lottery and stuff. Unless they'll announce it this month.

I get what you mean, but I disagree on ruling it out just yet. It's true that February-April is a small window but that doesn't mean it wasn't planned in advanced. Like Pedronekoi said she toured there in 2015, she can still sell out the venue in 2018.

IF she does do an actual 20th anniversary show, I don't think she'd need months of promoting it to sell out (in an arena. a dome is another story, lol) because fans from all over Japan will come, especially with it being on a weekend. It's a nice opportunity for a Saturday and Sunday celebration.

You are right, I am most worried if they give enough time to so many fans to arrange their travels. Saitama Super Arena is almost as big as Dome, isn’t it?
Anyway, if she mentioned it during encore yesterday I guess the announcement will come before the end of the tour. Maybe in a couple of weeks from now.

Thanks for pointing this out, I didn’t know it!

hmmm I've only been there once for a concert and the inside didn't seem to be that much bigger than Yoyogi but I guess that's because they adjusted the seating like how ayuinh.k mentioned. I also didn't know it had that feature. :O Maybe you can judge it when you go next weekend! :P

btw thank you for sharing what she said in the MC because I've been getting sooo impatient, haha

Corvina 6th January 2018 09:13 AM

Saitama Super Arena can be used like a Dome capacity -wise, but afaik most of the time they use it for sports events and it is open then, so more like a stadium.
For concerts it mostly uses its smaller capacity indoors.
I've been there twice so far for Kuu as it's her usual arena for Tokyo and it was around 16k people with a stage placed on one side like most concerts are held there.
It's bigger than Yoyogi like that, even if not much (3k, isn't it?).

Would be awesome if Ayu goes there for once (again), I really like Saitama. If she is in Spring, she has to announce it pretty soon though

~angel*ayumi~ 6th January 2018 09:36 AM

If it is "only" Anniversary Live I think it is not to late to announce, for tour it whould be a bit too late, I agree with you on that.

And also for Anniversary live I think she could easily sell out Saitama Arena on a 10-20k seating. Hall whould be too small for anniversary concert.
I know her popularity is decreasing every year, but anniversary live is different than a normal Tour, especially with her ear getting worse also casual or former fans might hop on the chance to see anniversary concert.

Corvina 6th January 2018 09:50 AM

I guess 2 months in advance are necessary for all the lottery and the general ticket sale rounds?
We have to hear till mid February then.
Anyway, I am curious what she will do for her Anniversary. She is pretty quiet for that apart from touring and posting pics from it. :laugh

Indeed probably they can adjust the capacity for the event. I’m going on 13th for B’z and they explicitly stated that Saitama Super Arena show will have arrangement like Dome. That’s why I guessed that “arena” was just the name and in fact it was a Dome sized venue, couldn’t imagine they can actually make it smaller when needed, or change seat configuration.

More shows in April pretty much means she won’t have time to hit studio to work on the new album until Anniversary live (or tour) is over. I really wonder if she prepared some anniversary song to release soon, like Mirrorcle World or Tell All was.

truehappiness 6th January 2018 10:14 AM

Well, all she needs is like a month or so. I wonder if she's just been avoiding telling us she has been writing at all.

Well she could hit the studio during the month of March. She could also maybe try to hit the studio during weeks but I guess that’s a lot of strain on her voice. Maybe she did some recording between chapter 1 and chapter 2?

The configuration was 9-10 000 seats only though.

I'll be in Sapporo for the first time as well, not for the concert though (two weeks after you) just sightseeing (the snow festuval), so if you find sth interesting (place, food), let me know ;)

Lucky for you general tickets are still available for this show.
You can go to the connivence store and purchase the ticket from the automated machines that are usually in the corner of the store next to the register. You need to enter the code listed from the website.

Lawson ticket (lawson/mini stop) code:22369
Ticket Pia (circle k/ 7 eleven) code:100-530
(Can't get into eplus (family mart) now so i won't link it)

Or if buying from lawson ticket, you can make an account, buy online and pickup your ticket in store. (eplus and ticket pia has this as well but they recently changed policy so now you need a japanese phone number for verification, I'm fairly certain lawson doesn't require this) if you don't want to risk having the ticket sell out you should probably do this

and just be aware that if you wait to buy the ticket in the store, they are only on sale until the 14th, 11:59PM

How long are you going to stay?
I’ll only stay two days because I have to work, but I’m planning to go to Okhotsk watch drift ice, really excited about it (although I just checked the weather, normally around -10℉ in the daytime, freaking cold..)

YUKARI 9th January 2018 10:39 AM

I think I saw 2 Russian-speaking boys sitting at 6th row.
