Are you really surprised though? EXILE is a sales juggernaut right now, although I doubt it will last long. And plus Hikki's in her second week.

well i'm not really surprised that EXILE's popularity in recent times have become up there but what's I'm surprised's how well the 1st week sales of their 1st Best album for the year been selling .

I wonder can they replicate the same success with regards to the other 2 best albums that they're gonna release later on this year

^How is that sad? She's still #1 daily. Isn't that enough? I would've like her to get a #1 weekly too but you should have known but yesterday's sales that she was going to be V6's single. =/

^ I know! Hikki is making some money this year! He Cd sales are excellent this year. I think SC sold 2 to 2.5K units this year. UB sold about 1.5K and her FoL & BW/K&C have sold about 10K combined this year.

ALL SINGLES BEST is still selling extremely well & consistent since it was released in '06 .

In both '06 & last year , it was the 3rd most sold album in Japan . It's scary that Kobukuro has such great consistent in their sales & chart position without the use of gimmicks , sex appeal & etc since the duo has none of what I mentioned . They just used their music to sell which's a rarity these days in the business

If I remember correctly, Glorious Mind, ZARD's last single [first one before the accident?] sold about 50k in its first week. I don't think ZARD's single sales are rising and with Ayumi's single being released in 4 versions [+ 2 first press ones], the #1 streak will live on, in my opinion.

Well you sees, when I said that I just wanted aiko to be #1 because I didn't want that old fart knocking her off the top once again. :P I heart Shiawase in... December and liked it - so I've only really been a fan since Futari, she seemed super nice when I watched HEY!x3 around that time, and now I have Himitsu. The rest is history. :D

I suppose not even the 10th Anniversary Album Releases of Artists such as Ayumi and others could overpower the strength of Fangirlism. I'm sure Music Quality is factored into it as well though, if only just a bit.

I love this thread though. It's devoted to sales, which I happen to care about. I'm actually a fan who likes his Favorite Artist(s) for the quality of their music and still cares about their sales and success. It's true, fans such as I do exist.

Hmmm.....that's a sharp decline for heart Station. I just hope the album can continue to say in the top 10 for the rest of the week.

Nice sales for aiko! I just hate that Exile beat her by 20k. What a rip-off for her. :headache I hope her second week sales are nice!

Yay for L'arc! I'm so happy for them. Nice 1st week sales. I just hope they drop don't drastically like most of their singles in the second week. :cry

Do I see Polyrhythm in the top 100? Still?!

I've just realised EXILE are going to ruin either Sowelu or melody.'s chance of getting in the top 3 next week. x__x Unless they have a really big drop next week, which they won't. I'm 95% sure YUI's gonna get the #1 spot with around 180 - 230k in first week. Even if it is her most boring album yet.
