@LacusClyne
Yes I know you can get the deposit back.
But first you need to pay it, then pay your auctions and then you can deposit back if you want. Itīs still 50$ that i need to be laying arround, and that is just too much imho.
I think they should offer lower deposits with a lower bid limit, as I never really bid for 25000 (or do they count lost auctions too in that limit)
Youīre a member, maybe you can ask if they could offer lower deposits, like 20$ or so with a bid limit of 10000, that whould be perfect. Itīs not so much money lying arround senseless Xd

LacusClyne 11th February 2010 10:41 AM

^lost auctions won't be counted in the limit.
and once you win the auction and paid for it, your limit will go back to 25000 yen again.

my friend had encounter 2 lost mails from YA, and both parcels includes those 'sold out' tour goodies, so YA can't even reship them.

I'm worried. YA shipped my CDL09-10 goods on Jan 26 and I still have not received them.

Usually with YA, I receive within 7 business days... it has now been 11 business days.

Maybe I'm worried for nothing.

How long should I wait to receive my package, before contacting YA?

~angel*ayumi~ 11th February 2010 07:12 PM

I remember my 2009 Calendar took ap. 1 month. (while my BB Single arrived on the release day XD)

well, i had once got my items after 3 weeks....but just to play safe, drop them a mail first and tell them your concern.

but do you have any items that are sold-out now in your order?????

Cherry Dynamite 16th February 2010 01:22 PM

I had some problems with YesAsia with my CDL09-10 goodies. I ordered almost all the goodies but since I couldn't use my credit card (because my parents decided to cancel it) I used Money Order instead anyways it took them like 3 weeks to confirm that they received my Money Order even though when I track my money order it said it was already received anyways I decided to cancel my order because I was pissed then the put it on my YesAsia credits,

Anyways I loved YesAsia and CDJapan.
The only problem I have with YesAsia is the customer service and shipping.

No the goods I ordered are not sold out yet.

But I received them last week, so they didn't get lost n____n

waterballoon 16th February 2010 03:32 PM

CDJapan my stuff are in shipping... um what does that mean lol

KarenPang 16th February 2010 03:33 PM

lol you mean "In Shipping Process" , Jun Xiang ?

it means that your items will be despatched by CDJapan in 1-2 working days's time

waterballoon 16th February 2010 03:36 PM

^ OMG YES :heart thank you!

Cherry Dynamite 17th February 2010 01:35 AM

I'm thinking of buying at Play-Asia and I just want to know Play-asia's lost on shipment policy? Is it like YesAsia(because YesAsia's policy is awesome)

nanakopy87 17th February 2010 01:41 AM

so far i never encounter any lost parcel from play-asia.but i think they will either refund the money to your paypal account or resend the parcel to you again.

Cherry Dynamite 17th February 2010 01:44 AM

Oh that's good I'm worried because I might order a lot of things and I might never received it... Thanks :D Now I need to extort money from my parents!

nanakopy87 17th February 2010 01:48 AM

haha.don't worry.their customer service is very good.they replied my emailed within 1 day - 1 1/2day.Its not like yesasia :P .I emailed them asking if ayu's single is still available or not and it took more than 2 days to reply me they need to check the availability. =.="
and their customer service is the worst compare to cdjapan and play-asia.its like i'm talking to a robot than a human
if you still have any problem, you can always ask them

Play-Asia.com Help Desk

Cherry Dynamite 17th February 2010 02:53 AM

God sucks... They won't offer free shipping because my order is above 2kg.
Now I'm not sure if I'll purchase them considering that the shipping fee is worth an album xD
If only YesAsia have some stuffs I'm buying >.>

nanakopy87 17th February 2010 04:05 AM

hmm, maybe you can try to split your order?

Cherry Dynamite 17th February 2010 09:28 AM

:O I can't split my order because I'm not going to use PayPal or a Credit card xD

Suteisi 17th February 2010 06:15 PM

Imo I didn't like Play-Asia, I used them for a video game once and I found their shipping method sucked for my country... I got a lot of trouble getting my package because the delivery company wasn't dropping the package unless it was in my hands, so I had to chasse the damn truck!! Lol

Cherry Dynamite 17th February 2010 10:19 PM

LOL I already bought the stuffs there xD I had to pay for the shipping though but oh well it's fine but it sucks because I could buy an album with that shipping fee.

Btw I don't know how to use Western Union since Play-Asia didn't sent me instruction on how to use that method.
This is the first time I'm going to use Western Union.

o.O this is weird.Because if you choose their free shipping,it should be your post office problem because once it reach your country, your country's post office will handle the parcel.but i wouldn't say their shipping sucks(since its free :P) because most of the time its the post office problem and not play-asia problem.

Cherry Dynamite 18th February 2010 01:41 AM

I have NO clue what to put on Western Union's money transfer slip >.> I don't know who I should put there. I asked them yesterday but they haven't replied yet.

nanakopy87 18th February 2010 01:51 AM

hmm,i thought they did send you an email about the payment
Quote:

For all non-instant payment options (ie, other than Credit Card or Paypal), an E-Mail describing the payment procedure will be sent upon checkout.
its weird if you did not receive the email.Have you check your emails including spam box?

Cherry Dynamite 18th February 2010 02:05 AM

Yeah I've checked it and yes they did send me some Payment Procedures but it doesn't say anything about Western Union.
If they don't send me an instruction by today I might as well buy somewhere else but then again I tried to find the things I ordered in YesAsia but most of them are Out of stocks >.> so yeah if they don't reply I won't be able to buy them anymore.

I ordered these btw

Namie Amuro Best Fiction Tour 2008-2009
Next Level [2CD+DVD]
A Complete-All Singles [3CD+DVD]
Secret [CD+DVD]
Arena Tour 2006 A (miss)understood [3DVD]
(miss)understood [CD+DVD]
My Story [CD+DVD]

Most of those are really difficult to find especially A Complete CD+DVD
If I'll be able to buy those, I'll complete all Ayu's Album >.> That's why I need them to send me a friggin instruction.

LacusClyne 18th February 2010 08:57 AM

^are those japan or oversea versions?

coz if you can't get them, i still see [A Complete 3CD+DVD](Oversea version) sold in singapore, i don't mind helping you to buy and send to you.
But do you use paypal?

nanakopy87 18th February 2010 10:24 AM

lacus, she couldn't use her credit card and she does not use paypal.this is why she's using western union.
by the way,did you email them ask if the a complete is still 1st press or not?because they do not update their sites if 1st press isn't available anymore.all these already 2kg?hmm,as a suggestion,i recommend you to grab a complete with arena tour 2006 and next level first(in case if they still have 1st press) and order others later on since this is your first time order from them.

waterballoon 18th February 2010 12:10 PM

I have a question for Singaporeans...

I pre-orded Tohoshinki's BEST SELECTION 2010 from CDJapan, and on Tuesday they e-mailed me that my order is in shipping already. Um then how long would it take for it to reach my house? I chose registered air mail I think... the 2nd option in the shipping methods.

If it comes on Friday or Saturday, which I won't be at home, then it means the postman can't give it to me? Then what would happen if that's the case?

Cherry Dynamite 18th February 2010 12:59 PM

Thanks everyone for your help~
I already received the instruction :D

I don't really mind if the A Complete isn't first press since I have already have A Complete 3CD~

And I bought AT 2006 Overseas version since it's a lot cheaper than Japan version.

Twinkle ! 18th February 2010 02:06 PM

@waterballon i usually heard for Singaporeans it's takes less than 5 days maybe you have to wait 2 days more maybe less :D

Cherry Dynamite 19th February 2010 10:39 AM

Aww this sucks...
I thought that they can easily confirm my order but it turns out it'll take them 2-3 friggin days just to confirm it.
I can't get it before my birthday! and I was half forced to use FedEx because they don't offer free shipping for that amount of order and I wanted to get it before my birthday!

nanakopy87 19th February 2010 11:01 AM

hmm,i don't know how the western union works but i think its like transferring money to international banks which takes several days to complete. i think yesasia and other site will be the same.

Cherry Dynamite 19th February 2010 11:29 AM

I think it's more like you'll send them the money then they'll pick it up on Western Union :O I think it works like that.
I'm not sure since this is the first time I used it.

i'm not sure if they have this option or not because my 1st purchase from play-asia was march 2009.they already have this free shipping by that time.but now, since they were having sales last 2 weeks, most of the cds i see need to pay for the shipping if the purchase is less than USD10.but i have no problem with it because the cds i bought usually is more than USD10 XD

well if the postman were to deliver to your house and no one is in, he or she will leave a note, (pushed in from your door), then you have 2 options.
1-go to the post office to collect it after the postman had send it back to the office.
2-there will be a number for you to call, so you can arrange for redelivery

waterballoon 19th February 2010 04:47 PM

^ thank you! but is it usually that long? they shipped it on Tuesday and it's gonna be Saturday but still nothing~

LacusClyne 19th February 2010 04:50 PM

^hmm..did they send you a mail that it's shiped? or it's just under 'shipping process' at cdjapan account?

but honestly speaking, if it's ship on tues, normally it will reach in 4(the earliest!!!) days to 7 days time.
so there's still one more day, it definetly won't reach you on friday.

waterballoon 19th February 2010 05:26 PM

"Dear Spencer Chong,
Thank you for shopping at CDJapan.
We shipped your order today."

that means they shipped it right? lol and oh I think I was too impatient... haha no wonder! XD thank you again Genie <3

points to what Twinkle ! said

I usually use airmail if I order stuff though CDJapan & I get my things within 4-5 working days if there're no public holidays involved from both parties's end

by the time CDJapan sent you an email to say that they shipped your order , by right they already done so 1-2 days beforehand (or so from what I was told)

waterballoon 19th February 2010 05:40 PM

oh but if they had done so 1/2 days earlier, then oh... isn't that the CNY period lol.

oh wait Japan doesn't celebrate CNY. :laugh

I guess I'll wait for a few more days...

KarenPang 19th February 2010 05:42 PM

oh sorry I didn't realised you chose registered airmail

if you're not at home then a postman will leave an invoice outside of your house or in your letter box & you have to go & collect the parcel personally at the nearest post office

personally airmail's good enough as frankly to me , you don't need to pay extra for registered airmail as SingPost's a reputable post office company

also the no. of days you take to get stuff be it airmail or registered airmail from CDJapan should be roughly about the same no. of days ie. 4-5 working days

if you're living in countries like Malaysia or something then it's better to go for it

waterballoon 19th February 2010 06:00 PM

hopefully it comes asap lol i'm dying from the waiting XD

KarenPang 19th February 2010 06:05 PM

haha yes I know what you mean by that xD

I preordered something from CDJapan last month but I wouldn't get til April-May D: D: D:

but it will be worth the wait I'm sure of that 8D

Cherry Dynamite 20th February 2010 08:47 AM

Hopefully I'll get mine soon too D: I'm dying here

majrakun 20th February 2010 12:05 PM

I'm going to order for the first time here, and I'm gonna do it at CDJapan since they accept cash, best thing I could do D: Anyway, when something is still under preorder, do I have to wait until it's available to send my money? Does it even make any difference if I make the payment while it's still under preorder?

Also, when you add an item to the cart, does it confirm that you WILL have that item? For things that have first press, I just add it to my cart but I wait for a few more weeks because I want to order it with something else. Lets say by then the first press is sold out and then I finally check out. Question is, will I get the thing with or without the first press?

Cherry Dynamite 20th February 2010 12:40 PM

I'm not an expert in this area because I've never tried sending money to purchase things but I think you should send them the money before it's released so that you have a higher chance of getting the First Press.

If the First Press is sold out even if you put it on your cart before it got sold out you won't get the First press but you'll get the normal one.

LacusClyne 22nd February 2010 01:54 AM

you have to check out the item to ensure the first press.
putting the items in your cart only enables you for easy access the nex time you log in only, BUT your item is not reserve.

so you will get the normal press if the first press is sold out by then.

Like you said, you would be ordering items in the near weeks, just order the first press item first, then combine your 2 orders together later.

LemonEcstasy 22nd February 2010 08:52 PM

Um... If I send money to crescent-shop via paypal to increase my bid limit it will be immediately increased? or I'd have to wait few hours?

LacusClyne 23rd February 2010 01:39 AM

^immediately, but why would you want to increase your bid? wasn't 25000 yen enough?

i remember your last purchase was the bunch of cds right? as soon as you paid for them, your bid will go back to 25000yen limit.

LemonEcstasy 23rd February 2010 03:00 AM

I asked my friend to bid them for me. I don't want to ask him over and over again to bid another CD and often I can't tell him to bid something and best deals sneak away. That's why I'm asking about that. Thank you, I will try their services.

Cherry Dynamite 24th February 2010 01:33 AM

Does Play-Asia gives First Press bonuses? :O

nanakopy87 24th February 2010 01:42 AM

hmm,you have to email them ask.but if you are talking about 1st press item for pre-order stuff, they can't confirm with you until they receive the stock.if you are asking for the a-complete,you have to email them.like GREEN/Days single, they still put the long vertical sleeve image on their site but actually its no longer available. This is why you need to email them every single time when you want to buy 1st press item from them XD

Cherry Dynamite 24th February 2010 02:38 AM

Aww seems tiring but I just mailed them :D

nanakopy87 24th February 2010 02:43 AM

haha.ya.its tiring.but what to do.some of their items are cheaper than cdjapan and yesasia :P
and it provides free shipping also :D
sometimes, you can still find some cds which is sold out @ cdjapan and yesasia at playasia too XD
i thought you've paid for your a-complete?

Cherry Dynamite 24th February 2010 02:53 AM

Yes I have xD

I actually have another problem with them >.> the tentative shipping date for my order is March 1!
YesAsia and CDJapan prepares my order in a day or so xD

nanakopy87 24th February 2010 03:04 AM

this is weird.i remember you placed your order last week or last 2 weeks?i wonder which item is not available yet.i never face any problems like that before except once. The DVD is quite old(2007) and the page said
Quote:

and they did.they sent it to me within 5 days

---------------------------------

I can't wait for new orders to get shipped since I used FedEx I'll get it faster... or I thought I would

---------------------------------

EDIT : WOAH They just e-mailed me and it's been shipped just a while ago

mobius 25th February 2010 01:28 AM

^ I believe if you use Fedex it take about 4-6 business days, depending on where you live. I live in the U.S. and it took about a 4 days for them to shipped using UPS.

Cherry Dynamite 25th February 2010 03:30 AM

Well yeah xD But it's better than 6 days

---------------------------------

God I'm obsessed with it.
I keep on tracking it every minute.

Cherry Dynamite 26th February 2010 02:15 PM

WTF xD I paid 77 bucks for customs but that's all worth it because I got the first press of (miss)understood but I didn't get the First Press of A Complete D:

nanakopy87 26th February 2010 02:22 PM

you received the stuffs already?and you got the first press of (miss)understood?i remember i did emailed them asking if their (miss)understood is first press or not and they replied me it's normal press.and ya.not surprising that the a complete isn't first press anymore.i think we really need to email them and complain.they should at least need to let the customers know whether the item still has the first press item or not rather than we keep on email them asking.

Cherry Dynamite 27th February 2010 12:31 AM

Yeah I was quite surprise :D The First Press of (miss)understood comes with the On My Way Photobook right? ~

LemonEcstasy 27th February 2010 12:55 AM

woah, you're lucky O_O.

Does the crescent-shop take fees when I'm buying few items from the same seller from TWO auctions? They didn't mention that on FAQ, it's still the same seller, isn't it~? I still didn't try them. :innocent

I'm so sure I ordered Hk Press for (miss)understood xD but I think I got the Japan Press since the DVD is region 2.

nanakopy87 28th February 2010 02:06 AM

ahahahaa..they made the biggest mistake ever!hahahaa
>.<

Cherry Dynamite 28th February 2010 02:40 AM

LOL Yeah xD I think of it as their gift for me but well I did pay 77 bucks for customs.

majrakun 28th February 2010 06:10 AM

77 bucks just for customs? >___< WOW.

I just ordered You were.../BALLAD on cdjapan, last jacket with first press, lol. Anyway, the only way for me to pay is through registered mail. They say to include the order number in the envelope. Just in case, how do you guys include the order number in it? I just copy-pasted the tiny section from their email where they mentioned it and printed it. I hope that's clear enough for them. XD

nanakopy87 28th February 2010 06:15 AM

i guess you can write your order number the the corner of the envelope.or maybe you can write the order number on the paper you going to use to wrap the money :D

FIRSTKLAS 5th March 2010 10:56 PM

I have a question: has YesAsia's free delivery service gotten slower for anyone else lately?

I placed two orders last month: the first one shipped on February 18 and the second shipped on February 24 and I haven't received either of them yet.

Before, it used to only take about one week for my orders to arrive so I was wondering if this is happening to anyone else or if they've changed their service somehow?

If this is their new standard, I don't know if I want to shop there anymore. :P

Maybe asking here wouldn't have it drown in a sea of posts, haha.

it used to be within 4 to 6 days for me, but since last year, my parcels reach me like 10 to 3 weeks. (>_<)

or worse....my friend actually have 2 lost pacrels, and those are inclusive of sold out items so YA can't even reship them(it's the AT08 ayupans and Neext Level Tour hair bands).

that is why, i used express shipping for my order of the limited box set. i'm too scared that it will be lost in the mail, and i want them to reach me ASAP

Thanks for your replies guys. I guess the only thing I can really do is wait some more. :P

Though, I do hope I get my orders - or at least the second one, since it was the limited editions of Chiaki Kuriyama's debut single. :dead

Anyways... I can't decide really do you think it's safer just to buy the box set from CDJapan? I'm really not sure about Play-Asia it seems like they think they'll get a lot of copies that's why the preorder is still open.

where are you residing in though ?

if I want to get items though Amazon Japan which my most recent order was a boxset (no , not ayumi's lol but my 2nd box of BREAKERZ's frontman DAIGO's first trading card collection set) , I have to use a middleman service as Amazon Japan cannot ship items to people living outside of Japan

it usually takes a few days for the middleman to receive whatever items I asked them to order on Amazon Japan & the middleman has a variety of shipping methods for me to select

I used to go for EMS which's really whack . The thought of paying so much $ for shipping fee really make me shudder

I usually go for normal airmail as I don't mind to wait still waiting for BREAKERZ's GRAND FINALE ~Seishun Days~ pamphlet though T-T

majrakun 15th March 2010 12:08 PM

Is it safe to choose regular air mail for CDJapan? Would they refund or replace if I don't receive my stuff, or am I just gonna get blamed for not choosing registered airmail? XD It's so hard to decide, haha. I kind of want to order RnRC CD-only, but I'm also in doubt now.

Cherry Dynamite 15th March 2010 12:40 PM

I think they'll replace it xD Same goes for YesAsia and Play-Asia.

Keiichi_JPU 15th March 2010 01:23 PM

I have a question about Play-Asia! :)

Do they usually include External Bonus items? Like posters?
Cause I ordered the box-set through them and in theory that'd give me the right to get 2 posters (the album one and AT09 one) but I have a feeling I won't get any of em through Play-Asia..

Does anyone know about that?

nanakopy87 15th March 2010 01:34 PM

basically if you pre-order it fast enough, you'll get it.this is based on my experience during the you were.../ballad single pre-order.although i didn't pre-order from there, but i know they do give the posters out IF you pre-order it within 2 weeks after they placed the stuff on their site.i can't confirm if they do the same for this time.they themself couldn't confirm you that because they will tell you their supplier didn't tell them anything =.="
so you have to take the risk for the 1st press item and poster.

Keiichi_JPU 15th March 2010 02:00 PM

^ well.. but is the limited box like.. ALWAYS first press? Since it's a limited item.

Also, I ordered literally 2 hours after it became available on their website, so I should be fine then right? :)

nanakopy87 15th March 2010 02:33 PM

yes.i think it should be available.but i can't say 100% they will give it to you.i myself never try that :P

majrakun 15th March 2010 07:23 PM

For CDJ, to enter the lucky draw, you have to order before 7th April. Since I'm paying with registered cash, as long as I check out before the 7th I'd be in, right? Doesn't matter when they'll get my money?

nanakopy87 17th March 2010 03:29 AM

i need help.i just pre-order an album(not ayu =.=") from cdjapan.and i choose EMS.the release date for the album(not ayu =.=") is 14th april.do you think i'll receive it on monday(12 april)?

mobius 17th March 2010 03:35 AM

From my experience when I preorder Yw/BALLAD from CDJapan, I recieve my cd the day it was release using EMS.

nanakopy87 17th March 2010 03:55 AM

i see.then it seems like not much difference with registered airmail o.O
because i received my single on the day it released using registered airmail.i guess its depend on the location?

mobius 17th March 2010 04:06 AM

Really registered mail on the same day? Thats pretty quick! The reason I pick EMS is I like to track where my package at and I want my stuff to arrive quickly. I live in the U.S. so it might be a little different elsewhere.

nanakopy87 17th March 2010 04:17 AM

ya.i receive my registered airmail parcel from cdjapan ON the release date.they sent out the parcel on 25dec and i received it on 29dec.and,i can track my registered airmail parcel too!
ya.maybe its the location problem because i live quite near to japan :D

mobius 17th March 2010 04:29 AM

haha, silly me. I was on cdjapan website now, and going thru the shipping methods and I guess I can get it registed airmail to U.S. with tracking #'s. On the chart it says tracking # not available and I scrolled down a little it says Airmail to US with tracking #. Oh well, I remember it for the future.

kiseki89 17th March 2010 11:47 AM

I'm too lazy to find out y self... so can anyone tell me which site should i order from[Rock 'n' roll circus japan press +dvd] to singapore so that it'll be the cheapest? HMV jp, CDJapan or yesasia?

nanakopy87 17th March 2010 11:49 AM

hmm,the cheapest is play-asia.they provide free delivery.but if you wanna choose from the three you mention,i think it should be yesasia followed by hmv, then cdjapan
