So what did you guys think of ROCKBOUND NEIGHBORS? I actually really loved this album...it was streamlined so nicely (though LINKAGE to STAR ROAD back to Synchrogazer was a bit odd...)...

It's the first time a Nana album hasn't disappointed me. The first song is just so damn good.

I disliked the album enough to cancel my pre-order, but liked Avalon no Oukan, Lovely Fruit and the singles enough that I'll get the OS press.

I want that packaging though...

YES!! The opening song is EPIC! I so in love with the orchestra.:love The rest of the album are good too, I'm not disappointed by her. :)

ALBUM OF THE YEAR! Seriously stunned at how good this is! Exceeded my expectations. The only bad song is the happy go round one, but even that's listenable.

I hate the fact that Nana's sound is stuck to anime
But at the same time it gives me nostalgia
the new album just brings back so many memories...

I think she's done a good job of making anime music sound mainstream Jpop. Some of her tracks are full out anime, but I think, especially with some of the ROCKBOUND NEIGHBOURS tracks, she's proven that she can do "Jpop". Compare where she is now to her early albums... they have some gems, and I love you Nana, but some of those songs have aged terribly.

I think she's getting the balance pretty much spot on at the moment, well for a Jpop fan, I've seen a lot of other people angry at how "mainstream" (not in a popular way... a non anime way?) Rokunei sounds.

I have to admit, the album was a grower, I didn't like it at first, but it's solid. It lacks "big" songs but it's very consistent, nice to listen to as a whole album, which I rarely do with Nana. I still don't like Darling Plastic, the Symphony one (too many Jpop chimes) or Happy Go Round though.

i love bright stream and synchrogazer though.

Haha Synchrogazer is one of my least fave on the album because it's such a typical ~epic anime song~.

But... I love Lovely Fruit so my opinion means nothing. D:

I stand by my comment that it was the best album of the year and the best album she's ever released. I'm still in love with it!

I'm really torn on Nana's best album... the best songs on GREAT ACTIVITY and ULTIMATE DIAMOND are better than anything on ROCKBOUND NEIGHBOURS but Rokunei as a whole is just so good, UD & GA are very inconsistent in comparison.

I can't choose! Maybe... ULTIMATE DIAMOND as the best, then... RokuNei > GA > HYBRID UNIVERSE > IMPACT EXCITER > Alive & Kicking > everything else.

Shin Ai, Etsuraku, MARIA & JOKER, Astrogation, GIMMICK GAME... that's five of my favourites in one album. ♥
