Oh my Gooooddd~.... Her style is so beautiful. And she hits the high notes so well. And she always knows how loudly or softly to sing. Aaaaa, pretty much perfect--I sat speechless the entire time. (And it made me sad, too, Yoake. :() ...I don't want her to go!!!! :weep :weep :weep She only has one performance left, right..? Or two? Nooo...

When MSnS came out I was so sad that there were no performances to promote the single... but this is like the 10th one since the Best album! My favorite song of the year~ I hate thinking that this is her last song for a long time.

The 60th NHK Kouhaku performing order list has just been released - Ayaka is going to be the second-last among the girls - a great way to end here...

I personally think they should have her be the VERY last performer out of respect since it's what I think is her last performance before she goes on hiatus. I think it would probably have greater emotional impact for everyone.

Aw.... She looked so beautiful... I actually teared up a little, I won't lie.
ayaka is my biggest idol and inspiration right now for singing ability. She's one of those rare singers who makes singing look so effortless, as if anybody in the world could produce such crystal clear, awe inspiring, perfect sounds without even trying at all. If only it were that simple... From the moment I heard her voice, I've decided that she will be the person I look up to most as a singer. I want to one day be able to sing with such gorgeous tone and amazing ability, emitting such an intense emotion through only my voice. But I'm really not sure that I'll be able to ever reach this goal, so I hope she continues to sing, so that I'm still able to hear such a beautiful voice. One that keeps me motivated and makes me strive towards working harder and becoming a better singer.

ayaka, I'll miss you so much! Please come back soon!!!! :weep

I thought you guys might want to know the short message she sent to us in the Kouhaku performance before she began:

Nooooo.....I just started becoming a fan of her music and now she's going on hiatus!!! :weep

What she is about to go to - that's really a mystery - it's just her start of her hiatus that we might not be seeing her for a year or two or so...

We'll miss her, definitely... And hopefully we can really get updates on her life...

A special show about ayaka was broadcasted a few days ago, it deals about her career, illustrated with live videos, ayaka pictures when she was younger, her marriage, her MTV Unplugged and Kouhaku as well.











For her hiatus, it's an undefined hiatus, but ayaka is hoping to be able to come back in a year.

On the 20th, actor Mizushima Hiro attended the product launch for Panasonic's new mobile series as its CM character in Tokyo. In the CM that will air from the 28th onwards, his co-star is a foreign dancer (David Elsewhere). Looking back, he comments that he had an enjoyable time having conversations in English. When reporters asked about the health of his wife, singer Ayaka, he said nothing but only gave a smile. Her talent agency gave a statement that she's doing well.

I'm not a fan of Kobukuro's own work (waaaay to cheesy and sentimentalistic for me XD), but they are definitely talented musicans and they completed ROCKED that Layla cover, so I have high hopes for this ^^

I don't want to turn this into a Kobukuro thread but CALLING is a solid album . They weren't as folky boring as what I thought they're

It's nice, but I prefer by far ayaka's version.
The emotion we can feel in Mikazuki was lost in this transition from Japanese to English IMO

It's been practically a year since a new song was released... Minna sora no shita came out July 8, 2009 (my 18th birthday~). So it's been a year since she released new material, but her hiatus technically began after December (after Kouhaku?), after she finished promoting ayaka's History, so it's only been 7 months.

My friend read it in a magazine; ayaka's husband said that she was doing better~

Yume wo mikata ni is one of my favorites too. I love the message of it, and when it was released I felt as if she was singing it to me.
