I think she means that nowadays misono (or Avex) try to use their bond as sisters to bring misono's career up again. misono was popular before Kuu, but Kuu is much bigger now and misono went to nowhere popularity wise.

I'm really excited now too! I feel like we have so many new songs! So I'm not too mad that the single songs are not here.
I think it's interesting how they talk about the songs. I especially like how they keep saying "charming"...cause you know what, when it comes to a lot of her poppier songs, even when I didn't like them, they were always charming and uplifting in some way. I like that her music is always consistent as well, but she is able to change it up a bit. I have high hopes for her melodies too. She's been taking the cake with her catchy stuff out of nearly all of my favorite artists in Japan...but we'll see. Excitement!!! :heart |
I have a feeling step into my world will be something like ayu's pieces of seven but with vocals...start out slow and then rock which will lead to can we go back. I'm not into her rock songs so the track I'm looking forward to the most is UNIVERSE.

I like Kingdom better than TRICK :yes Kingdom has some of my favorite kuu songs like BUT, FREAKY, Aisho, Amai wana, Under, and anytime. My only fav kuu songs on TRICK are TABOO and This is not a love song. The low points on Kingdom (Anata Ga Shite Kureta Koto, Ai no uta, Himitsu, LAST ANGEL) don't even come close to being as bad as the low points on TRICK (Bling bling bling, that ain't cool, ai no kotoba, JUST THE WAY YOU ARE)

01. Black Cherry 02. Kingdom/ BEST ~second session~/ Feel my Mind 03. TRICK/ secret 04. grow into one 05. affection it's hard, cause even if grow into one is on the 4th place, it doesn't mean i hate or something! It's just hard to make a normal ranking with so much good albums! xD So even TRICK is on the 4th place, i really love it, BUT compared to the other albums i think it's on 3 with secret! Spoiler:

i dont think i'll get the love for black cherry ever.
the singles were fantastic (mostly), but it was just a disaster when they put it all together. my album ranking: 1) BEST~second session~ totally fantastic, one smash single after another. And the couple of new tracks were great as well. fantastic covers and great dvds as well. 2) Kingdom a little bit more laid back than her other albums surrounding it. very cohesive and mature. i wasnt too fond of the singles at first, but they really pulled the album together. its a great listen. 3) secret just classic. its a little bit long (with all the bonus tracks and whatnot), but its still a great pop album. it really speaks of what kuu is as an artist. 4) feel my mind soo underrated! a really fun and strong album with great flow. i love how basic some of the songs are. they dont try to be epic or life changing. its just good, fun music. 6) affection im honestly not super familiar with this album, but i enjoy the sound of it. its interesting to listen to kuu as a newcomer! 5) grow into one still, not really familiar with this album either. has some great singles! 6) Black Cherry awesome and fantastic singles. but they were too all over the place. the album tracks were mild hit and massive miss for me. this album seems to just slam into you and strangle you with loud music from any genre it can find in the hopes that youll lilke something oh-my-god-please-its-soooo-desperate!! SHSYHSETJHSETJUAHJAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! 7) Trick TABOO, Driving, Just the Way You Are. Everything else is, absolutely terrible. I have listened to this album soooo many times, trying to like it. Those are the only tracks I can ever actually enjoy. The rest of it feels too processed and over-thought. Shes working on a formula which is now stale. Im actually a little sad that I cant stand this album at all. |
