What even happened? Didn't she have quite a bit of success with Supreme Show? After that she had 2 average singles... then did she just give up on music? Or did her DJ-ing stint make the Japanese hate her?

This release was bound to fail, and frankly it deserved to. It's just lazy. They could have included more videos too and I probably would have bought it myself. |
^ I don't think Avex was lazy to release the album, they remade several songs. Crystal Kay, for example, just released her best album, with no new or re-recorded songs...

Besides, Ami doesn't even...idk maybe this is just me, but she doesn't really have a super strong presence or identity to me. Where is she supposed to fit in the world of solo females....in a sea of idol groups? tbh, I consider it a success because she charted and she was in the top 50. Plenty of other way more talented people that can't say that. |

well it's just that avex doesn't want her. like...they did smth with supreme show but then changed their mind.
and what they have with ICONIQ now? she just parties like crazy and goes to 1000 of exhibitions every day and no material for so much time, people already forgot her so much, and next time she releases her best album after her 2 album and some colloba/compilations no one would buy it much I had my hopes too high with iconiq, and the image and rich pvs, duh. avex probably waits for the artists' output too, don't you think that much depends of artists themselves too...kind of... |

I think we can't expect anything new this year, it would be a miracle if she releases a new song. You know, after low sales artists releases these best albums there are not many possibilities for them to continue their careers.

Very sad. I wish she would've just continued making dance music but Avex can't just continue throwing money (however little it may be) when they are getting no returns. It's sad but I think Ami is content with what shes accomplished even if it didnt last long.

It's sad to think that Ami may never record another song again... I personally really loved Supreme Show. I agree with emi, though--she doesn't have a whole lot of presence. Still, she's really cute and talented so I wish all the best for her.

I miss her so much. I guess the only way solo artists can succeed nowadays is by featuring randoms or being in groups :shrug I wouldn't mind a trio with Ami, Mizca and perhaps mini as well :innocent

Maybe she should have stuck with pop music... Even though I prefer her avex songs ...

I'm new to Ami, and I absolutely love her song Ten off of Supreme Show. Better finding her late than never, you know. It's so nice to hear some techno jpop.
