I think which service is better ultimately depends on where you live. Although its list prices are inflated, for me (US), an order at Yesasia with "free" shipping still ends up costing less than one with the comparable shipping rate at CDJapan. HMV and Amazon JP are almost always more expensive, also. I rarely check them outside of Amazon resellers.

So I guess... if you're getting a lot of heavy items, or just a lot of items in general, YesAsia's free shipping might help. With CDJ, you pay a fair, standard price, and since they've offered FedEx shipping, I've gotten my stuff on release date! (Which is technically the date before release in Japan haha). And from now on, I'll be using Amazon if they discount the list price like they did with the clip box...I was floored at how much money I saved ;)

Basically, I find that YesAsia is best for ordering lots of stuff, whereas CDJapan is good for ordering one small thing at a time. I usually do a price match between the two, as you suggested, and it usually works out this way.
