Possible issues: Snowy weather? Schedule at Zepp Sapporo too busy? More likely the latter, not the former (since Sapporo and pretty much of Hokkaido is blanketed with snow for just about through the winter)

Actually its schedule was more than open! There were many, many days available. This whole situation leaves a very bad taste in mouth. Fukuoka concert got easily rescheduled while Sapporo fans are abandoned. So much for Ayu saying just wait for me Sapporo, we'll definitely come. And what's the worst - Avex made fans wait for almost month for cancellation announcement.

That's really sad for the fans, but it must have a good reason since the Fukuoka date was easily rescheduled and we know how Ayu dislikes the idea of cancelling a concert...

Wow, I was reading Japanese forums today, and so many dissappointed fans were writing that they want to hear from Ayu about cancellation of Sapporo show and that maybe we should ask her about that through TeamAyu message form. I did like many others. And guess what? She did just write message for Sapporo fans. Although it's a little bit cruel to ask to wait for her again without telling when approximately it can happen...

Seriously? It's not just because the list of scheduled artists on the hall's site seems to have free dates that she could have just rescheduled the concert on whatever date is available and done it. There's a big production behind each concert (even if they are smaller than the Arena Tours, it still takes big preparations) and for some reason it probably wasn't doable on those new circumstances. Plus, she has to start preparing for the CDL that will be extremely close by the time the Sapporo concert could be rescheduled. It's not "cruel", it's just unfortunate (she didn't plan on getting sick and canceling the concert, it just happened)...
I'm sure she'll be performing there during next year's tour.

Of course they would be dissapointed, they paid money and want to see her too.
Re-scheduling might not be so easy for one place just like another.
I do hope it's not going to end up like namie's Okiwana 20th anniversary show cancellation (even if the reason was the earthquake) where she didn't re-schedule it, but then again she got away with it with no one saying anything so go figure.

If ayu will decide not to re-schedule for this tour so they will probably get their money back at least. It would suck if it wouldn't be re-scheduled but there's probably a reason for that.

Inviting those fans to the CDL would be a good move, rather unprofitable but maybe more in the long run...

It was a typhoon actually and it ended up doing damage to the stage that had been set up. But beyond that, rescheduling a concert in Okinawa is a lot harder. From what I understand, the majority of people going to the show were people flying in for it. And with a typhoon going on, flights were canceled, so a lot of the audience wouldn't have been able to get there anyways and if it were rescheduled, people would need to rebook flights/hotels etc. I have a feeling it will be tried again for her 25th anniversary.

That would be nice, but Sapporo is quite far and I don't think most of them would be able to go...

So it is official that Sapporo can't be re-scheduled but all tickets will be fully refunded and ayu posted a sorry message on team ayu blog and says she's still willing to go there again.

About the cancellation of the concert, welll, people should learn that it's not easy to reschedule for a bunch of reasons beyond their control. The last three months, I created an event and there were a lot of things we couldn't do because of constants (the weather being one of them for example). We even tried to change the date without success.
