IKR? Like, it's not that she's going after them sales and she's focusing so much more with her lives so I don't really think it's a bad thing, it's just the way things are. I'm actually glad that her decline in sales isn't as drastic compared to the drop she got from FIVE to Party Queen to LOVE again (now that's a disaster imo)

MIJ is a really good album and an incredibly refreshing one because all the songs are actually good this time.

Plus, looking at the other female artists' sales nowadays she is doing relatively well even with all the bad press she got over the years. I mean my worst fear is that she'll end up like Ami Suzuki-like sales tho Ami's decline is another story...

Of course! No promotion, lazy PVs, unispired covers, and short album (if you minus tasky and MCM, its the same number of tracks for memorial address), yet people think this album will sell stellar.

Despite all that, this album has great music and lyrics. Ayu just don't promote herself anymore and her sales will continue to decline as a result.

Why she stopped doing TV performance when she obviously need at least once for promotion? Do performer have to pay to be on TV? Oh those good old days on 2007 when she's on every music shows to promote A BEST 2

She's touring, I don't think she cares about preparing a TV performance besides all the tour work...

It doesn't make sense to me why she'd perform on Music Station for a re-release of A Best but not a new studio album.

The target audiences for an original studio album and a best-of compilation album are very different.

I think the TV show has to invite the artist, and she's not that relevant anymore (or at least not like newer singers). After so many years, it's just natural that artists stop heavily promoting their releases.

She was supposed to appear and had to cancel last minute...twice. I can't remember how far apart the instances were but she was blacklisted after the second time. They stopped sending congratulatory flowers to her concert venues, etc.

Nowadays, I think she just doesn't want to appear on TV. It's a conscious decision on her part more than the shows not liking her. Also a lot of the shows she used to be on aren't around anymore.
