I thought the term "overrated" referred to songs/things that are much more popular than they really should/deserve to be. It doesn't necessarily mean the item is bad nor that you dislike it, but that it's just too popular that it makes other just as good songs/things, "underrated". Oh well. Everyone has their own interpretations.

I think he perfectly did when saying: He explained quite well that, from his view, it only matters what taste you yourself have.

well i agree totally that different people have different tastes and that it is perfectly normal if one's taste does not quite match up with the majority... but i dont understand what's wrong with labeling a song as over/under rated based on our own taste and preference...

one has to understand that there is no standard in determining whether a song is over/under rated, therefore we used our own opinions... a song maybe overrated to one but at the same time, it can be underrated to another... and i dont see whats so wrong with that....

my defination of an overrated song is one that gets more hype or positive feedback than it deserves... but different people will have different opinions on just how much hype a song derserve... so at the end of the day its all just a matter of opinions, and i would like to repeat what i said earlier in the thread... i think real me is over rated because quite a number love the song but i personally dont see whats so special about it...:P and whats so insane about that?
