That's why I love Nakata...
And you know...I think MEG is almost as experimental as Capsule.

GOD! I can't stop listening to PRISM BOY (both versions)!!!!!!!!
I think I'll buy the CD only as well...

KaoriNeko 17th June 2008 06:41 PM

Perfume is definitely more pop influenced, but MEG is more experimental and club-like. I love it. STEP's a great album, but GIRLY STEP will forever pwn every song she releases. It's so awesome.

dddaiyamondo 17th June 2008 08:24 PM

^OMG I love "Girly Step". I've also been in love with the "OK" single lately... so much better than anything on BEAM. "I'm In Love" is so gorgeous, love the Engrish too.

KaoriNeko 17th June 2008 11:25 PM

^"I WANNA FRY TO ZA SPARKERRR SKY~ !"

GIRLY STEP for some reason is just the funnest MEG song I've ever heard. I'm going to love it forever.

"ROMANTIKA" is my fave MEG song. I like the weird vocal/instrumental thing at 1:45ish. so amazing <3

LOL no offense but I was just thinking that this was my least favorite song on BEAM. This and Model were crap IMO.

KaoriNeko 18th June 2008 12:05 AM

MODEL WAS EFFING AWESOME!!!!
That's another one of my favorites. The only song on BEAM that I really don't like is - well I love them all.

CHE.R.RY 18th June 2008 12:18 AM

I have a question. Is 'ROMANTIKA' really correct..or is it supposed to be 'ROMANCHIKA'? Sorry if that seems like a stupid question >.><.<...It's just I know the Japanese don't have 'ti' in their language.

drewbilation 18th June 2008 12:33 AM

^ "ROMANTIKA" is correct. it's written in Roman letters on the album.

Solarblade 18th June 2008 12:41 AM

I like GIRLY STEP too, ROMANITKA ehhhh it was ok....though MODEL was prety catchy totally.

I LOVE SUPERSONIC though, that's like omg good

CHE.R.RY 18th June 2008 01:55 AM

I also love SUPERSONIC, although it's a little longer than it should have been IMO. Oh and thanx for the clarification drewbilation.

jeffycue 18th June 2008 02:05 AM

*sigh* what can i say... i didn't enjoy STEP as much as BEAM. = ((

NATALIE saved it for me and the KITTENISH remix.

dddaiyamondo 18th June 2008 02:21 AM

PRISM BOY is easily my favorite. Lovin' it right now.

EDIT: STEP debuted at #2 on iTunes Japan today.

Amai Yume 18th June 2008 05:20 AM

dddaiyamondo 18th June 2008 05:43 AM

^Wow, I really love your review. Good job.

Amai Yume 18th June 2008 05:49 AM

Thanks triple D!!
I can't tell you how disappointed I am in the album version of NATALIE. What is this?!! FM 16 MIX should've been there... :(

and now... I have to buy the single....:grumpy

And she got a number 05 at Oricon yesterday!

KaoriNeko 18th June 2008 01:38 PM

I can't believe she did so well!
Her singles never did, but her album is in the Top 5! OMFG! I'm so happy.

marcelosama 18th June 2008 01:47 PM

I don't know how it works to stay at a good position on the weekly ranking, but HMV gave her a lot of attention since the album appeared for pre-ordering.

I read that Amai Zeitaku sold 570 copies and OK (the first of the UNIVERSAL era) sold 5,186 copies... and BEAM was number 24 at Oricon.

Well, I don't know how any of the other versions of 'NATALIE' sound, but I really liked the one that was on 'STEP'. I loved the melody of the chorus :yes. It's one of my most favorite songs on the entire album.

Wow, that's pretty good. And it's weird cuz her singles' sales were not very good at all :no.
