Thelma's single was only 50,000 on debut, so I'm pretty sure Ayu will definitely be up there with highest debut sales.

Nope ayu sold more already in the 2nd day...
soba ni iru's first week sales are 50,158.
So I think ayu has the highest first week single sales by a female artist of 2008.

60s70s80s was 114,719. namie has the 2nd highest first week single sales XD.
