I never really thought that any ayu albums would have to worry about being lackluster. But i think this album would have sold a million each if, it was released a few years earlier with new songs. But then again if it were one album it would have been fine! The marketing for the project was horrible. The countdown live should have been released as a DVD set seperately... you can't fool fans twice...

Wow they came back! and at pretty "decent" places too!

This week they sold less than 6,302 since they aren't within the weekly top 20.

tHAT SUCKS BIG TIME!

They're probrably in the low 20's though, so slaes probrably aren't much lower than 6.3K. Which isn't bad, considering last weeks sales were 8k. Also, the fact they went up today on the daily's indacates they'll be sticking around the top 30 for a while.

Look at ther single sales. She clearly hasn't produced a song that really clicked with the Japanese public since H. Sales have been decling steadily since then and the only thing that can reverse that is some new material that will please more than just her fanbase.

IMO, it's hard to make something that "clicks" when you've been in the industry so long..

I mean, look at other people/groups that have the same "age" as Ayu in the industry..

Ayu, imo, is doing EXCEPTIONALLY well compared to the majority of that generation. She rarely has drama tie-ins, which are a high determinant in high sales [Flavor of Life, Seishun Amigo..]

I think that Ayu's happy with how she's doing, and as long there are people out there listening/buying her CDs, she'll continue on. It makes me somewhat angry that people believe that because her sales have not been as high as before, avex will fire her when there are dozens or other artists selling less than 10% of what Ayu is selling with each release..

i think its not about songs...but its about ages...

look at misia, mai kuraki, even mika nakashima, ai otsuka, and many other female artist has start to decline their sales so bad...

Ai Otsuka's sales are still pretty okay.. but not as good as they were a year or two ago.. O_O

Like nobody else is really selling singles as high as H nowadays either.. at leats not female solo acts. The whole industry is going down, not just Ayu.. face it.
