And it has a '6/8 metre'. I have no clue if that's how you call it in English, but it looks like this:

if the new song is in a 6/8 measure then it probably either has a swing or waltz feel to it... but this is pop after all so that might be ignored :D

6/8 is the time signature of the song. It's a compound measure, usually used in Jazz, rock or country.
