Well... Personally I think it will come out better if everyone sings seperately, with maybe a couple of two- or three-part harmonies thrown in. (As much as I'd love four, I don't see it happening, lol.) But that's just how I would arrange it. I do think it would sound a heck of a lot better than everyone singing together. At the same time. Now THAT would be a mess! :laugh

I think this is interesting! I can't wait to hear it, no matter how "bad" it may be. :)

freedreamer 7th August 2010 04:16 AM

omg FINALLY! FINALLY a collab between Avex artistes

rusuke 7th August 2010 06:02 AM

I'm preparing for my ears especially when they'll sing it live! LOL.

But I'm looking forward to it. I hope it will have an arrangement like ayu's theme of a nation '03.

Thanks for this news!

daobaxiao 7th August 2010 06:06 AM

I wanna heart it right now!

jbrat2219 7th August 2010 06:09 AM

well, I for one am excited about this.

TK's "You are the one" was great, and is considered a classic today.
And Amuro's solo version of the song is really good, haha.

Obviously if one isn't a fan of 90's music, then you probably won't appreciate it haha. But, I guess it still stands as a preview of a TK produced song featuring a bunch of artists :P

And I believe it's only being performed in Tokyo.

I laughed at that first video; I'm sorry, I'm not even trying to be mean, but the first 2 girls kinda sucked, then those 2 guys on the video screens blow them out of the water with these super impassioned vocals, then those dudes start rapping some nonsense, then Namie is like, screaming, then that woman shrieks "You are the one" in this high-pitched cat wail....OMG. Comedy only the 90s could bring.

y_nathz 7th August 2010 07:24 AM

....It better be good since I think it's gonna be so weird.. :laugh

Jwiz 7th August 2010 08:27 AM

lol what a lame title -.-

Murderqueen 7th August 2010 09:00 AM

I'm also pretty curios, but lmao @ the title
THX A LOT, next theme will be called ROFLMAOBRB ? X"D

ownsarai 7th August 2010 09:07 AM

Bad title, but I hope the song turns out to be epic~
And if everyone has at least one verse solo and then chorus is sung together, I don't think it will be too horrible. *crosses fingers*

njanjayrp 7th August 2010 09:07 AM

They also had a collab on a-nation '03, but it was a cover song as far as I can recall, it sucked badly~

I actually really like You are the One, but it has to be taken in context. Those were most of the top famous artists of the time and that song kind of emphasized what those artists were most famous for at that period.(which accounts for the weird parts that you mentioned.) Komuro took those aspects from each artist and emphasized them big time. So actually, I wouldn't be surprised if we hear Ayu's most crazy vibratto ever in THNX A Lot.... :)
What always stood out to me most in this song though were that Namie's vocals were clearly the best. As others have been mentioning, we might see the same thing happen in THNX A Lot with Koda Kumi.

LOL, I love this post. Seriously though, that song was a MESS omg. I don't know if it's possible for this new one to be worse than that, but it just might be with all of these random voices that won't go together well at all.

Lol, I'm actually a big fan of 90's music (:heart) but even I found that to be just too much. :laugh Even Namie's part (which I actually thought was pretty good) couldn't save that trainwreck... THX A LOT is in some serious trouble...

So the instrumental is out now.. I wonder if anyone will record that lol

primavera♥ 7th August 2010 11:42 PM

I hope someone does. I wanna hear it

Matthew 7th August 2010 11:56 PM

Any chance of this being on itunes Japan? I can't see it there... yet.

emi♡ 8th August 2010 12:21 AM

Well...I mean, sometimes I don't think it'll be that bad...I mean, a lot of urban artists are always doing these big collabs with like 5 people in them, and it works out...

this IS a lot more people though...and not exactly people with the same style...so...I don't know, it's gonna be crazy, but fun.

They just have to be really smart with who sings what.

maikaru 8th August 2010 12:25 AM

The instrumental version is only available by chakuuta right now.
