Any difference between PlayAsia and YesAsia?

MissElin_ 19th February 2012 03:08 PM

^Same as CDJapan and YesAsia. Just two different internet shops. :) Play-Asia tend to be one of the more costy options.

KarenPang 19th February 2012 03:24 PM

Whatever being purchased from Play-Asia is not counted towards Oricon , if I'm not mistaken :O

It was the case for YesAsia in the past but not anymore

Pieces_of_SEVEN 19th February 2012 07:02 PM

I'd rather have NO hidden track than have either of those covers. Can I get a 2012 flower garden type hidden track please?!

Damita 19th February 2012 10:41 PM

71 + 1 = 72

CD+DVD from amazon.co.jp. But may change to CD+3DVD in the future...

Really ? I paid the original price for the boxset and the FedEx shipping was like 2 or 3 times cheaper than the one on CDJapan though.
I would order on YesAsia if they knew how to pack their stuff correctly, I always get my packages smashed.

Sucks it doesn't count towards the Oricon charts, I hope they'll restock it on mu-mo...

MissElin_ 20th February 2012 10:14 PM

^It's probably different for other countries. :) In my case YesAsia always tend to be the cheapest and Play-Asia the most expensive one.

Aaah that sounds like no fun. I'm sorry. I have bought like 20-30 CDs from YesAsia and they have always packed them soooo nicely. Btw, there is pretty no other shop that provides so good poster packaging as YesAsia. Lol. You can hit someone unconscious with those tubes. xD

LeeLeeNeko 20th February 2012 10:31 PM

^ 20-30 CDs in perfect state ? I guess I'm just totally unlucky haha.
Honestly at first it was okay but sometimes the cases are broken and when I order KPop stuff there the boxes' corners are almost always damaged, actually last time the box was completely smashed like someone played football with the package.

So there's no way I'll order my ayu CDs there lol.
I just hope Play-Asia is good, never ordered there. A friend's friend orders figures there and apparently they're always in good state... I'll still ask them to put a lot of bubble wrap.

Kazeyomi 20th February 2012 11:23 PM

I ordered once from Play-Asia and they wrapped my parcel well. Also, the CD came with a lot of bubble wrap around lol.

About YA parcels, I did many orders from them since 3-4 years and I just got a CD case slightly cracked once. I think it's just luckiness matter.

It wouldn't be YesAsia's fault, Iv never had anything damaged from them before though I prefer cdjapan, but its more of what happens in between YesAsia sending it and you getting it. The mail process isn't a gentle system. Packages and such get tossed and thrown around and I thought YesAsia did count towards Oricon charts now since the past couple of years now

Pieces_of_SEVEN 21st February 2012 03:11 AM

Hm...the only thing I've ever ordered from Play Asia is ayu's PS2 video game, and that came fine, but a PS2 game case isn't the same as like a jewel case.

Wow. YesAsia always package my CDs with a minimum of 3 layers of bubble wrap. xD

And yeah, all of my CDs have arrived in excellent health. But not only CDs but also all of my DVDs and goods have been greatly packaged. Not a scratch. But well. Maybe I was lucky to just have had nice people hadle my post. :P As douggn said; how post and packages is handled on their way to your home is crazy. Maybe they handle my packages generally more gentle on my shipping route?

Pieces_of_SEVEN 21st February 2012 07:48 AM

Ordering from YA, CDJ, and now amazon.com and co.jp over the years, I've never had a problem with receiving damaged products.

I've ordered from Japan / Korea / China hundreds of times through lots of different webshops and still received damaged packages pretty rarely. And the ones I got from YesAsia were always made of thin cardboard / plastic, they weren't solid enough.
I don't think it's a coincidence if I've received smashed CDs several times from them specifically lol. Somehow it's the same with a French friend so maybe it's just their mailing service to France that sucks ?

Anyway I hope it'll be alright with Play-Asia ! :)
