I am... or ayu-mi-x 4 was just released, if I'm not wrong ^^U
When I became a fan, my first album was A BEST (well... a few songs from it, actually) :P

I was introduced to her around the time the Startin' video came out
Around 2006, I think.
(I remember it being at New Years day,
but it doesn't make much sense
since the single came out around March >_<;; ).

But I then reallyy got into her a couple of months after BLUE BIRD came out.
Plans for Secret being an mini album was speculating around this forum at the time.
And I was so hooked onto the CM version of 1LOVE.
I was also still a lurker then haha.

I came to know ayu with the songs from Blue Bird single.. but when I turn into a fan she was touring with Asia Tour 2007

RAINBOW was released for a while already when I became a fan.
I got interested, because I liked the cover shoot for this Album so I tried it.
It all began from there haha.

I'd say around the Rock'N'Roll Circus album and the MOON/Blossom single, both of which i downloaded and loved (along with NEXT LEVEL), but i didn't quite follow her probably until after Love Songs.

ayu-mi-x III was non-stop megamix was released... And I was hypnotized by it. Been a fan ever since~

I was a huge anime nerd! I bought an anime magazine that had some Utada Hikaru songs like "Addicted to You", "First Love" and "Automatic", I looked for more info about her...and then I got to know Ayu. I was so surprised she was remixed by some of the top House music producers from back in the day (Hex Hector, Thunderpuss, Junior Vasquez, etc)., so that was when ayu-mi-x II was just released and she was promoting kanariya...I can't believe that was almost 14 years ago. :thud

I have been around when ayu released evolution, I am... album, RAINBOW album. It wasn't until the release of Moments that made me into her. So Moments was released before I became a 'real' fan, and I still can reminiscence my anticipation of waiting for INSPIRE to release :D the anticipation grew bigger when MY STORY was announced!

Moments was released at that time, but I didn't know as I didn't follow her back then.

I liked her music more than anything back then, but I didn't care much about her as a person back then if this makes sense. This only happened in the recent years that I like both her music and herself.

The first song I liked with Ayu was M back around 2000/2001. But I didn't like Ayu back then, I actually didn't like her voice O_O

I downloaded Moments shortly after it got released from an anime mp3 rotation website and fell in love with it. I also downloaded is this LOVE a year later and it was then I felt that I just HAVE to hear more songs from her. I guess I got hooked for real when the (Miss)understood album came out, and I got interested in Ayu herself around 2008, after watching her perform Dolls live on the A Complete DVD.

MY STORY had just been released.... coincidentally, that is my favorite Ayu album.

Kinda iffy. Guilty was just released when I became a hardcore "must listen to every remix in her entire discography" fan. But I've been a casual/on and off listener since Dearest came out in 2001.

I remember when i started to actually follow her properly etc the glitter/fated single was coming out

but before i didn't really follow her I just listened to her music

Her performance in 2002 MTV Asia Awards.

Around the release of GUILTY, pretty much in the end of 2007 :)

I remember searching for things in Jpopsuki TV and started viewing "talkin' 2 myself" PV, then I thought, "Damn, a japanese woman that is so fierce, never saw that before". At that time I really thought that she had a rough voice and would never imagine that she had released songs like HONEY. :D
Then I saw "1 LOVE" PV and fall in love instantly.

From that moment and on I started to follow her career through a brazilian site and been a fan since then.

I remember seeing news about the 10th anniversary and being completed blow away when the DVD trailer of ASIA TOUR 2008 was released. hahaha
That's nice to remember.
