^well, it was generic when it came out and I still think it defines her sound very much. There where others, but only after Miliyah - and I still think music is not about "being innovative" all the time. LIBERTY is a gerat album yes, but it has to much flaws overall to make it a perfect record, whereas HEAVEN was great, not only lyrically but also production wise and it had a vision. She ruined album sounds with songs like "FUTURE LOVER" "HEARTBEAT" or "RUN FREE" - all of which are great, but also out of place in their respective albums.

Honestly, I was never interested in Miliyah until i listened to LIBERTY. Lyrically it isn't anything impressive at all, but musical wise it does remains as the best album of the jpop year for me.
I should listed to HEAVEN as well to see if it is better...

^I think they are hard to compare, I love both, I'm biased towards HEAVEN (Its still has two weak songs, but I forgive that). LIBERTY is awesome too, especially after Loveland, which felt a bit sloppy. LIBERTY just has more freedom in its production - so if you seek that, it is definitely the better effort.

I just got into Miliyah again after a criminally long break. I forgot how amazing all her albums are! I even really love "LIBERTY," whose underperformance on the charts is, IMO, deeply unfortunate. It's a genuinely good album, and a totally different change of pace for her. I guess it sounded too much like other artists to really stand out, but as far as Miliyah's music goes, it's a nice evolution of her style and sound.

"Loveland" wasn't so bad either, IMO, but nothing really stood out to me. One or two tracks were fantastic, but the rest were just kinda nice background noise, I guess. Meanwhile everything on "LIBERTY" grips me as much as "HEAVEN" or heck, even her best of compilations.

Either way, I'm just really happy to be a fan again. She's such a treat to listen to!

There are 3 new songs: 最高なしあわせ, 愛の国 and 幻... but a 4th that is TBD. I imagine it might just end up being a remix? From the teaser, I hope that -The Love Trilogy- songs won't all be ballads, though its exciting that we're getting new music.

Loving the visuals on the teaser and her hair color is so pretty. Its like a pale blonde, grey, or brown depending on the lighting.

Thank you! Wow, the teaser is actually very cool looking. I hoped we'd hear a preview of the song at least, but I'm still happy because the teaser was very well executed and it actually did make me look forward to the single more.

Ah, I see. I missed the part about the 4th track on the official website when I originally read it. That's certainly interesting. I do imagine it's something like a remix track or whatever seeing as they refer to the single as a love trilogy.

Ugh those Japan-only restrictions are so annoying. 最高なしあわせ MV is out on the restricted GYAO, but luckily it's also on Tudou (link thanks to f7u12@baidu).

Pretty MV and the song is alright, I guess. It just doesn't do anything for me. The bland lyrics aren't helping either ("I love you forever blah blah").

Again, pretty MV. Love her look. I like 幻 better than 最高なしあわせ.

Both the A-side and Ai no Kuni sound similar and boring. I pretty much agree with tenshi no hane. Maboroshi seems to be the best song on the single and even so it's nothing that special.

最高なしあわせ really is boring. And tenshi is right, the lyrics are bland. Personally I always have to laugh hearing someone sing things like that. Because, if you can't come up with something more creative than lyrics every teenager, who fell in love for the first time, could have written, I'm sure that love won't last forever.
幻 is better, have to hear the full song though.
After Liberty I'm a little disappointed in the single.

Haven't listened to the new songs yet but I wanted to say I don't find her a good lyricist except for some songs here and there. Have you guys read UGLY (her book)? Because it really is ugly lol, the most cheesy, horrible love story i've ever read. I hated the main characters so much...
