The background isn't metallic, but the lettering is!

Ranking today:

DVD #14
BR out of top 10

I guess that makes it a little better xD I do wonder why they chose such a color tho lol

At least she looks great!

thinkingoutloud89 18th March 2021 05:46 PM

I love that green - its very earthy.

kaled kalil 18th March 2021 06:01 PM

I also don't mind the background color. lol It's a good contrast from the all white outfit. If the background was lighter it could look a little washed out.

Her last Nail Up cover was in 2008, such a long time ago. When I saw that it was a nail magazine I immediately thought it was for Nail Max, since it was her "last" magazine cover.

Kuu was featured on Sukkiri this morning, giving a comment to two regulars on the show leaving.

Nail Max ceased publishing, only contiuing on social media and youtube.
I've posted the news here when it was announced last year.
Kind of sad considering it was the first nail magazine in Japan and once the biggest.

Time for a news round up!

First the 2nd week sales of the My Name Is... Tour:

DVD
#17 - 379

Total so far: 7,885

For comparison, Miliyah Kato released her Budokan Live last week and it sold 1,371 copies combined in its first week.
Not to mention that every single date of Kuu's tour was available to purchase for streaming already.

-------------------------------------------

Kuu is going to be a performing artist of the 3 hour special show "2021 vs. 1995-2000 - Anison song battle top 20" on TV Asahi, covering anime songs from the ranking!

https://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/animesongbattle/#/
Trailer:
https://www.instagram.com/p/CMu0Gc8hMXP/

Show is airing 03/25, 6:45 pm JST onward.

---------------------------

The Nail Up issue is released today, but so far nobody shared the inside pages apart from a sneak peek from her manager:

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/6...924/stGsDn.jpg

-------------------------------

Monthly Kumiko Vol.3 is airing 03/26, startin 9:30 pm JST!
This time they gonna air and comment a blooper collection from the tour, they only gonna show there.
Kuu will also phone some FC members, you can apply for that the next two days.
So yes, this time it's going to be a live broadcast, scheduled to last 1,5 hours.

https://rhythmzone.net/koda/news/detail.php?id=1090427

---------------------------------

Something not directly related to Kuu, but interesting.
There was a ranking published which apps are the most used by teenagers in Japan currently.
Top 3 is:
01. LINE Music
02. Apple Music
03. Spotify

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/6...923/0aDZlu.png

https://tieba.baidu.com/p/7272428072

They also included most common comments for each app and for LINE Music there were e.g. because of the hourly ranking system, where you can track the most popular songs and artists, because of the pupil/student discount and because you can participate in various artists campaigns.
For Amazon Prime one of the most common comments was that a lot of music is included for free in it.

^ hopefully she'll sing "guess who is back· and not that other song that shall not be named... (but we know she's going to sing it anyway...)

From the description she's covering other anisons.
Not surprising, cause Kuu wasn't active between 1995-2000.
Besides she has a couple of songs which were used for animes, like No Regret for The Law of Ueki or Hey baby! for Crayon Shin Chan e.g..

They also say in the description that besides having stories and videos about LiSA, who has the two absolutely biggest anime hit songs (and hit songs in general) of '20/'21, there are going to be covers of popular anime song singers and Kuu is their headliner, yay. :laugh

Are regular editions sold through mumo included here? I'm assuming that most of the Japanese fans purchase FC editions, if at least 80% of them do then these numbers would only represent the interest of the general public.
I purchase all of her releases from mumo, unless other stores offer alternative pre-order bonuses (e.g. different types of post cards).

Gackt also had one video with キャイ〜ンのティア and Kumi in his channel. They do a lovely version of Ai no Uta, they all sound very good together! Now I want a Gackt and Kumi collaboration.

It's great that they are getting along so well, it hasn't been that long since KK was a guest on his YT channel. I'd love for them to record a song together but it is not very likely to happen. I'm still hoping for the collabo with AI, they sound awesome together.

Happy about another Nico Nico live stream with her dancers and live performance!
They say last year was so popular, they wanna do it again.

Yes, mu-mo is counted by Oricon.
FC editions are counted as well, as long as they run under the same title and contain the same main content as a regular edition/ an edition that's available through regular CD stores
That's why the FC and the special edition of re(Live) last year, which where the only editions containing both concerts, were counted together, but seperately to the regular editions of the tour on Oricon.
And that's why FC only releases are not popping up on Oricon charts.

EDIT:
If somebody wanna watch the anime show, live stream here:
https://mov3.co/en/tvasahi/
20 minutes in rn.

Kuu is going to perform Blue Velvet.
It was the ending theme of Dragon Ball GT in 1996 afaik.
But as I thought they did briefly talk about Guess Who Is Back when Snow Man's opening theme of Black Clover was ranked. :)

RainbowFive 25th March 2021 04:11 PM

I would like to ask you guys, the nico nico live is available also for who doesn't live in Japan?

@KarenPang what is nico nico nama?

It is.
Tho last time the last part of the 4 hour live stream was for paid users only, Idk how it it will be this time.
International users can subscribe to the paid Nico as well afaik.

And I'm not Karen, but nama only means live here (namahousou = 生放送= live broadcast in Japanese).

kaled kalil 25th March 2021 04:47 PM

I guess she's not singing anything besides Blue Velvet? It was a very nice performance tho, very good vocals.

NicoNico's premium is quite cheap, comparing to Kumi's own stream, so I might watch the studio mini live in April.

KarenPang 25th March 2021 04:54 PM

@RainbowFive Nico Nico Nama is a streaming service in Japan just like many others available like Abema TV , SHOWROOM & etc

You can watch shows that're streamed via Nico Nico Nama even if you don't live in Japan but they will indicate whether you have to pay to view the contents or not
