She will be like "ohh what's this?" during her MC and then she's so moved by everyone's effort of doing the scrapbook and starts reading every sinlge message in the book. And the audience is like "AWW C'MON Ayu sing pleaseeee..." after the few first pages. :rolleyes And imagine if that person is like, in 5th row or something it would be kinda hard to throw a most likely big scrapbook on the stage.

And I'm still not sure, so should the ~10th Anniversary~-text be included in the covers?

lol I'd love to see her reading the scrapbook on stage. XD I'd love to see her try to read other languages.

Eh, it IS her 10th anniversary...I think it's a good idea. lol ^_^;

Also, I do think, at this point, it would be best to hand it to someone who is going to Japan. SunShineSlayer is going in the beginning of April, and I am actually going at the beginning of June. I know there's plenty of people going (who are active posters in this forum), so we are going to be able to give it to her.

If we ARE going to give this to her on her anniversary, then we all really have to work together, pick a cover, start receiving letters (not necessarily at this moment, but soon), start putting it together, etc etc etc.

njanjayrp 7th January 2008 05:09 PM

I PMed you.And there are a few TeamAyu members on Last.Fm, will try to ask them for a possible address, it would be easier if we send it to TeamAyu as I don't trust AVEX.

rikku411 7th January 2008 06:21 PM

Btw the way guys, you can write the messages now if you want I suppose, just don't send them in yet.

Just save them or keep them in a safe place till we're ready to accept em. ;)

That is, if you feel the creative and emotion urge to write it now haha ^-^

the angel song 7th January 2008 06:28 PM

You know what would be a cute pic to add for some people? If they have a cute chihuahua or some type of toy-sized dog. She would have a spaz attack seeing them lmao. It's just an idea to throw out there.

And I encourage everyone who wants to submit something, please begin as soon as you can! No rushing, no rushing, buuut it would be tough to deal with lots of letters coming in at once, and the volunteers who are putting it together would have more time and an easier pace to work with them if people began as soon as they were available. :D

polka-dot-jewel 7th January 2008 06:58 PM

Also, another idea - if you have any friends who like Ayumi, tell them about this scrapbook! (Not every single little detail, just say that we're sending letters to Ayu, and what to include in it). If they want to send it via e-mail, I guess they could just e-mail it to the right person (in their continent), and if they do snail mail...your friends letters could just be included with yours, I guess. XD

I know I'm still trying to think what to put in the letter. ;___; And I need to take a picture of my collection soon...

the angel song 7th January 2008 07:27 PM

^LMAO I know! Trying to set this up has made me clueless on what to include in the letter!

Draggi 7th January 2008 07:27 PM

@Draggi: did you find any Japanese? or someone live in Japan whose willing to help us out?

Bad Wolf 7th January 2008 10:43 PM

I read through the thread and I'm sorry if this was already asked, I must have missed it if so.. ^^; But for those of who sent you messages, Draggi, via email/PMs and stuff, do we have to send them again? Or are you going to hold onto those? D:

zoomzoom 7th January 2008 10:56 PM

About the throw the scrapbook on stage, the person who attempts that is probably gonna get attacked by one of her huge body guards :P

Anyway, I really hope we can get a big book out of it, not just a few pages. It's weird the AHS staff haven't said anything in this thread, but maybe you could get help from them to either sticky this thread or put it in announcements area or something.

Anyway, wouldn't it be good if we kept the messages as short as possible? I think it would be coolest if we kept it to like a couple of sentences, and then end in a sentence of our native language. It's the thought that counts, and maybe it's too over powering if she's has to read through a million huge letters.

If she had like 250 messages saying "Hi ayu from *country*, I love your music, thank you for this and this, keep up the good work, *sentence in native language*, (*translation of native language*) Best wishes from *name*

As to the mailing of messages, maybe it would be best if we handwrote them, and then scanned them for the volunteers to print out? It would be awful if draggi completed the book, sent it away, and then for the next week more messages would come in vain.

Oh also, it would be a good idea to remember to include the adresses to AHS and other forums. Write something in the end like "this is where we all come together, ahsforum.com/forum" and hope avex doesn't discover the download section and shut us down :P

Well, I think two sentences is a BIT too short. We should keep the letters a nice length, but not too long. I guess it's up to you if you want to write in BOTH English and your native language. (I would prefer your native language, but I guess adding a little bit of English in there would help her out a little bit.)

That's why we have a cutoff date for sending / e-mailing the letters, which is March 1st, 2008. (All the letters won't be sent to Draggi, by the way. That's why we have volunteers. ^__^) Sure, you can scan them and then send them, but I think you should just do either or. If you put in the time to actually handwrite a letter, you might as well send it, right? It's all up to you, though.

Eh...it's better if we DIDN'T include addresses to other forums. I've seen other forums (not Ayu ones) being shut down BECAUSE of their download section. ^_^;

erin1m 7th January 2008 11:12 PM

^ I agree, mentioning ANY forum by name would be bad. Also, maybe people could write their messages in their native language and have an English translation underneath. :shrug

Haha that's what I thought.

As to the letters, I didn't mean draggi specifically. Mail is very unreliable, it could take 3 days or 3 weeks for a letter to arrive. It would be really sad if someone put effort into their thing, only to arrive a couple days too late. But I guess we'll put up a list of who has sent letters, and then check when doing the scrapbook that everyone has their letters in it.

~X2RADialbomber~ 7th January 2008 11:53 PM

Maybe you guys should scan your letters... It would still have that special touch, and it would reduce costs and time.

Kobayashiwoof 7th January 2008 11:59 PM

you guys could do this...

Limit everyones page to 1 page each, with a message and a picture of yourself or collection etc.
Send it to draggi and he can bind all the messages into one book. (like actual send)

zoomzoom 8th January 2008 12:03 AM

I like the idea of having a picture of ourselves and our collection or whatever, but if someone has to print a lot of those pictures, it could get quite expensive for them in ink.

We have more than one person working on this. >___< But, that is a good idea, to limit everybody's letter's to no more than one page.

Like I said up there^, we have more than one person working on this, so we don't just have one or two people printing out hundreds of paper.

Well, that's why we have volunteers for different parts of the world - four in the US, one in Canada, two for Europe, two for Australia, and two or three for South America. It saves sending a letter from Australia to Canada, but I get what you're saying.

Actually we already have the address. It is in Aoyama, Minato-ku Tokyo - right next to Avex HQ.
