^ first presses, especially in the states, will linger for longer periods of time because no one is buying them.

But interestingly enough, I moved to a more erm, rural part of Tokyo (i mean it's still in Tokyo, but i mean, it's not shibuya or anything....and there's less human traffic and tourists and stuff) and in one of the non-chain cd stores near me, there's a copy of Daybreak and Free & Easy (with the picture label) sitting on the shelf. As well as a A BEST 2 with slipcase and Mirrorcle World long case. ANd honestly, I bet those things would linger there for years and years, seeing as they're so old. But i'll be buying them. hahahah It also has old (non ayu) cd's from like 2000 with a "new!!!!!!" sticker written on them....it's like, "wow, these have been sitting here for sooooo long!" hahaha

I like those lil cd-shops in the less crowded parts of tokyo, where nobody ever seems to come haha
some true (Ayu) treasures can be found there ;)

Once I bought loads of Mika Nakashima Vinyls at one place and the owner was so happy he gave me a bag,
ran around the store and filled it with all kinds of artist merchandise lol
I guess he was so happy with me buying so much stuff ^^

^ Haha, same here! I bought like 10,000 yen worth of stuff from a tiny old cd shop in the town I'm in, run by a little old man, and he was so happy he gave me a discount, plastic cd sleeves, a huge poster, and coupons for the next time ;).

so cool!! thank you angel!! It's really interesting...because of high costs of japanese presses, I could afford only GUILTY 1st press so it's nice to see wht came together

Picaflor 7/4 9th June 2009 07:22 AM

update please? this is such a cool and useful thread topic. I want to see what else is first press and what everything else came with.

What about the colored jewel cases for NL. Wouldn't those be considered first press? I mean, I thought that they released an encore edition with clear jewel cases (that's what I got of the USB version).

Evidently, I have the first press versions of ayu-mi-x 3 & 4 and didn't even know it. O_o I guess that's pretty cool, though. I also have the first press Rule/Sparkle (Jackest B&C). I also got the first press of A BALLADS. To my knowledge, thats it.

And a little slightly off topic question. I assume it'd be listed here if it was a first press, but does everyone's M single have a pearlescent effect on it?

I have a question! Does Memorial Address (the mini-album) have a 1st Press edition or no?

I thought that LOVEppears had a first press

jiarongisme 21st June 2009 05:40 PM

^ Well, if you're talking about the folded poster, it isn't a first press bonus. Every copy has it.

nemesisyume 21st June 2009 06:11 PM

^oh wow I didn't know that :thud

Notice that it's the Japanese press that they're showing.

Mine got it too, but i think it's an effect on the paper, and it's anyway the regular edition. It's like UNITE! with the glossy OBI and paper (but now, since MW, every single got a glossy paper and OBI : MW, Green/Days, Rule/Sparkle)

I think that AVEX likes to do some effects with the paper used, it might bring a little fantasy or whatever, i dunno XDD
For example, see A Song For XX cover, Duty booklet, or Memorial Address cover, it's silverish or goldish, no ?

pommy48 22nd June 2009 11:22 AM

i have an OS press of LOVeppears, but i don't have the poster...
