A single I liked from the not-well known artist BENI charted at #70 and eventually sold a little more than 1,000 copies so maybe that will give you an idea... ( :dead2).

The A-side of the single went to #1 on some digital charts, which I really don't understand how it happened.

Do Ayu's singles get #1 on Chaku uta, etc. rankings...? I haven't really checked. I suppose this S/S did, or all her singles for that matter. But some other Jpop artists who are actually popular don't so///(?)

Well, I think they go to #1 for a while, but Ayu doesn't normally do well on digital charts, but damn I think Japan DID like s/s just not the physical copy, it's still charting well on chaku uta iirc.
