IM A LITTLE MONSTER I love lady gaga but man this just makes me feel ashamed to be one :no Im really fed up with all the gaga fans saying gaga is the ORIGINAL ONE I mean as much as it hurts to admit it shes not, she has recently been accused THE Grace Jones of copying her style hence refusing any collaboration between them and MANY MANY other artist have accused her of that already. People NEED to see that AYU DEBUTED MANY MANY years before GAGA DID and that many things GAGA has done have been done already by ayu and my many other artists, and that poker face to start with was never an original title not for gaga nor for ayu :innocent I REALLY love these two artist but man why do these fans need to go blasting ayu I mean if they want to start an argument like this AYU WOULD SURELY WIN CUZ AYU HAS DONE THINGS WAY BEFORE GAGA WAS EVEN FAMOUS and they need to admit that but nothing in this world is original :)

PS: I always thought gaga was a fan of japan anyways with her hime cut and the bow made of hair like the gyarus so no discussion there ha
And about that USB edition REALLY!!!!!! I just wish gaga would take a new album out not all these deluxe, super deluxe, limited editions or whatever REALLY GAGA THATS MAKING YOU LOOK BAD KEEPING AN ALBUM AFLOAT LIKE THAT BUT I LOVE U :heart

What? So American invented crazy fans? I think not...*remembers the crazy Korean group flames she's seen*

I don't care for Lady Gaga music, but she and Ayu are two separate people...and they are NOT their fans. Ignore the crazies and move on. :yes

AyuRox 21st April 2010 04:11 AM

Its just so sad that some people have nothing better to do with thier lives other than make fun of other people and thier interests... :eviltongu

SheFliesHigher 21st April 2010 04:45 AM

Um, that forum has a horrible background, terrible organization, and all the threads have like only 4 posts...why even waste your time there?

bulmasman 21st April 2010 01:45 PM

Well i've never rated GAGA at all (personally i think she's talentless.... but that's another story), but i got a good laugh out of that thread :laugh

And for the record... yes, all singers have crazy fans.

I hate idiot fans...of all artists.

I'm just gonna say this, I think, that even though originality is probably dead these days, what I consider "original" is these artists' work that is true to themselves, and no one else.

Something I would consider "unoriginal" is when someone sees something, and says "ooo that's gonna be my image next." Now...there are exceptions of course, but someone who is wholly unoriginal, is someone that isn't true to who they are, and just uses the image as a way to get more popular by trying to exploit tastes.

Now, people may not agree with me...but I'm really tired of people bashing all of these artists saying they aren't original, and so and so did this back then, and whatever...just putting emphasis on the whole, who copied who, or who is better than who discussion.

I guess it's not really anyone's fault...I mean, there are world corporations fighting over stuff like this...but honestly, when it comes down to actual people, and especially two eccentric, free, and honest people like Ayu and Gaga, this discussion just makes everyone look retarded.

I agree with emiko. Everybody has to start with an inspiration, things that they love and enjoy. What makes them original is being able to combine these things with truely who they are, to create something that only they could, because it comes from themselves. (does that make sense?) Someone who takes or wears someone else's design for an 'original image', is someone who isn't.

I don't hate Lady GaGa, I listen to her songs and i'm glad she is bringing some alternative fashion back to western pop, but that fashion she wears has always been around. I do believe she is given credit too much for what she wears when she did not make what she wears. It's mostly made by alternative, Japanese, fetish and other designers and I think they deserve the credit because they're the ones who did the hard work.

I have a keen interest in Alternative fashion, Japanese fashion and also Fetish fashion (something Lady GaGa also wears) being a photographer, so I recognized what she wears instantly. And I was excited to see a western pop star in this decade wear this type of fashion.

What I don't find original about GaGa is the only thing she is singing about in her songs in Sex. But with no meaning? If she actually took sexuality and turned it into something deep and original with meaning coming from her personal feelings and experiences, then in that retrospect I would then see her as original.
That's just my opinnion though. I'm not here to bash because it is pointless to me. Every artist is different in who they are, which is why comparing is pointless, because they'll always be different people.

Music is not a battle, it's supposed to be about expressing yourself, who you are as a person, your feelings, your experiences, and no one can copy that. Cause those memories and thoughts are like a personal fingerprint, to you.
That's what it is to me anyway. :)

SORRY my post is so long I had to get that out. O.O

Well, an interesting thing about the way she sings about sex (when she uses the ballad arrangments it's more noticiable) how much the relationships she describes are distorted and abusive... She is not praising casual sex, but rather criticizing it

Ayu_Love 17th June 2010 09:53 PM

^ Thank you, because see with that I agree with. Because she's singing about something personal, true and that even relates to people. :) Thats original in my eyes in tearms of she's singing about experiences in sex and her thoughts on it, from herself. Does that make sense?

tetsuo69 17th June 2010 09:54 PM

this still alive XD?

Yup, it does xD
It's like when they used Poker Face on Glee and some people said it didn't match the scene... And I was thinking "but this song is not about sex, it's about keeping things casual so u don't need to enter into a real relationship"

Ayu_Love 17th June 2010 10:18 PM

^Yeah. :) I think it's easy to miss meanings in songs whenever sex is involved. Cause you immediately think "Oh, it's about sex". I probebly have missed some too with some of GaGas songs, I will admit.

It's the first time I read this thread! :S
Well, I must say I'm sick of those Gaga crazy fans that think she created and invented every single thing that is going on right now in the music industry. I love Lady Gaga, but I just can't stand that kind of people.
And I'm sorry but just suggesting that Ayumi is trying to copy her it's something that I can't stand. For god's sakes she's been in the music industry for 12 years, she has better things to do than copying Gaga...
I'm sorry if someone gets ofended, but I just needed to say this xD

Mm, this is sad to see because I'm a big Lady Gaga fan as well as an Ayu fan. But people will be people and it doesn't change anything. Like some other people have posted in this thread, it's been at AHS before. I've seen people saying comments about Lady Gaga, too.

It just happens. =/

It's ultimately up to Grace Jones to decide it, and she obviously wanted no part of it.
