Yes that performance was gorgeous and she looked amazing!
I remember that too but what I mostly remember is how absolutely horrid her vocals were. Wasn't that the performance where she came out and apologized for how bad her singing was? Or was that another performance of evolution?

It was the performance from a year later with You were... where she totally effed up.

I watched the 2008 version of evolution and she did just fine.

i remember that she already had apologized for some "evolution" performance, im not sure tho if it was "evolution" or another song... i cant remember the tv program either... it's a hard song to sing anyway

She sang "evolution" using her new vocal at that time..it was after her "You were..." performance...i think...it was Music Station? Anyone knows about this?

It's already almost halfway through November and there is no information on it yet...

Yep it was Best Artist 2009 I think. She sang You were..., then evolution. The reason why she apologized was because she practically messed up lyrics for the entire song, either singing the wrong verse or completely forgetting everything. She apologized on TA after that though..

^Eh? I thought she apologized because she thought that her voice was messed up during evolution. *For me, her evolution live performance always sound like that :shrug

Well... It did sound really really bad...



But I'm happy that she started to take singing lessons again! She sounded really great again during PoM from what I could her. ^_^

There does not exist a bad "You were..." performance that I would know of o.ô

Her 'Best Artist' performance of "You were..." was simply perfect. Her voice sounded so real, clear and not high-pitched or faked with any real-time voice-enhancements. Really loved it.

Same for "evolution" on that day (well, it got a bit chaotic after the first chorus xD)

Just my opinion though =)

@channy - it's hard to do a bad performance when all You were... is is SHOUTING during the chorus anyway...

Haha, she is so cute. :laugh You can really tell the difference between those two performances.

You were... has high notes and maybe that made it hard to sing evolution right after

They usually start planning it in October/November and then tickets and all the other related info is released some time in mid-December.

I agree..she's never performed evolution perfectly live...although i appreciated much she apologized, it's a proof of her humility

It's not because her vocals are bad, they're usually like that with her recent evo performances. It's because she forgot the lyrics a few times, had a few shortness of breaths, and she even apologized it at 7:20. It's probably that she didn't really practice for Evo because she performed it countless of times.

Ayu hasn't been in the media for quite some time. :( I missed it when it was 24/7 & 365 days of the year of Ayu news.
