Especially considering that we've only received a preview for Song 4 u.

Why wouldn't she release something around that time, when she receives extra promotion?

Why would they even bother doing only a short song for a trailer when they have 80% of the whole structure etc ? :laugh It's obvious we'll get a full version, as you said the XILLIA2 ver. is obviously there because it's only the short mix used for the trailer.

I think, if the song don't have a longer version, than that is really unusual, Ayu always have long songs (4-5 min)

They put the short version of You & Me on youtube for free and that was popular so I guess they felt they missed a trick and figured they can make fans pay for previews.

I think it's stranger that they released it to begin with if it's only 2 minutes. I mean, they could have just put it on YouTube like they did with You & Me, but they wanted to get as much money as possible out of the 2 minutes preview.

First, excited fans buy it through ringtones, then they buy it on iTunes or other net based sites.

They got people to potentially pay twice for a 2 minute clip, which I think is sad.

I enjoy the song, but yeah, I suppose I was expecting a full song. Maybe it was written somewhere that it wasn't in full, but when you say the theme song is going to be released digitally, that doesn't really scream "snippet" to me, lol.

I think people are forgetting about progress.

It wasn't available for download or to buy, but we first got it as the opening theme.
To expect the actual song for download when it wasn't even announced till like 3 days before hand is a little bit of an over expectation.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I consider a theme song to be the full song. Just because they only use a small portion of it doesn't mean that's the decided theme song, in my mind.

If that's the way you see things then that's fine, you won't see anything wrong then.

But my opinion on the way it was distributed isn't going to change.

Perhaps if they officially titled it "xillia2 version" on the website, my mindset would have been at a different place, but that's not how I first saw it.
