I think Namie sounds alright in her songs, it's just the grammar really which isn't great. I enjoyed Uncontrolled and the English didn't bother me.

Ayu does have a stronger accent in her songs, but I'm still up for some English lines if she wants to include them. I agree with the poster who mentioned Forgiveness. I still love that song, it's just a shame the English lines aren't perfect.

There is English in Forgiveness? :laugh I always forget. Kinda like how there is English in Kuu's feel. When I learned the whole chorus was English I was like wtf!

The Engrish at the time was overambitious for her (at least to sing/speak it) but she did pretty well with it on PoM.
