Jesus what an awful video. And by the way those dramatic performances only work live, it was embarrassing... Too bad I love this song and its got one of her videos I liked less

I thought this is what most of AHS wanted? Just ayu, no dancers, staff, gimmicks, bad sets, flashy show? Just ayu singing a great song with the ever so long awaited exceptional quality of her older works, laying out all her emotions in the process. No? Well, color me surprised :P

The reactions to this PV are so 50/50. Some people do not like it, but a lot actually do like it.
Please pay also notice to the positive feelings towards the video.

Also, it looks like a cartier promotion. she's wearing the bracelet. red gown.

jyujiw 26th March 2015 03:10 PM

This PV is so on repeat to me that it hurts hahaha

SKYia 26th March 2015 03:13 PM

+ pretty Ayu
+ good idea
- wasted potential

I kind of wished once the lights were on Ayu she could change sometimes into that black Ayu, or I wish they used the shots from the preview where black Ayu seemed angry and ultimately I thought any second black Ayu will hug red Ayu and it will be little like Rainbow PV, a pity :)

inspire_rmx 26th March 2015 03:20 PM

I love it!! and holy shit she looks totally stunning in the red dress!! the lighting is quite annoying thou :P

No, really, this go watch the Katy Perry videos or something like that.

This.

I absolutely love the PV. It's perfect. One of her best in my opinion.

truehappiness 26th March 2015 03:33 PM

I think the light adds some drama that wouldn't be there if it was a straight up Ayu-just-standing-there video.

They work better here, with the swinging light obscuring it, than they do live. Live, they're just embarrassing.

Gustavopc 26th March 2015 04:20 PM

I like the lightning not only cause of the darkness, but it reminds me of a pendulum, and it feels like a "time is running out" idea. Also, I don't think black Ayu should appear at all singing, maybe just for the final two seconds only, if what I get from the PV is right...

Yeah, probably, but it makes it really hard to watch for me >_<

Why so you want something like Rainbow if we already have Rainbow?

Gustavopc 26th March 2015 05:45 PM

^ A bit of nostalgia and past overestimation are my guesses :P It's curious how people (in general here, sometimes I get myself doing so also) tend to wish for something like something did back in the past, and when they get it, it's like "why did they destroy it? this idea was so good back then but now urgh". I guess this happens cause, well, new stuff doesnt have any memories or feelings well attached to it (yet) so it doesnt have that much of a meaning as old stuff usually do.

Matt_rq 26th March 2015 05:47 PM

Perfect Pv, full of emotion, goes with the song, the pendulum light effect is perfect with the mood of the song. Ayu is pure beauty. I love it.

Exactly, there's probably no reason why they removed the last few seconds other than to not -technically- upload the full video to YouTube.

Kazeyomi 26th March 2015 06:33 PM

I wasn't sure if buying the CD+DVD version or not, but this PV worth it for me.

It's so simple, yet so amazing.
The song is "noisy" itself, so a more complex PV full of hidden meanings, could be distracting since she's expressing her emotions through the song.

Really really love it. And she looks so gorgeous omg.

I expected it to be pretty polarizing, if I'm being totally honest.

Ayu's always had enough genre-variety in her videos and songs that depending on what you personally enjoy, you probably like a big chunk of her discography but aren't that nuts about one or two of the genres she does... meanwhile, those same one or two genres are probably many other people's FAVORITE things Ayu has done.

I came into Ayu fandom when the Despair Trilogy came out in 2000, so to me ayu is a raw honest pop/rock singer who just happens to be slickly produced and fashionable. To people who were introduced to Ayu in later years, thanks to summer songs like "BLUE BIRD," she's a slickly produced, fashionable pop singer who just happens to be raw and honest at times. Then of course there are people who think of Ayu as singer of love ballads AND people who hate her love ballads. There are people who got into Ayu for her remixes AND people who hate remixes.

Ayu isn't any one thing to everyone, but she's a ton of things to a ton of different people. For better or for worse, we all love her for totally different reasons - so we're ALWAYS gonna sound hypocritical if you take us as a big mass.

Those of us who wanted something more stripped-down, personal, dark, emotive, and simple are FREAKING LOVING THIS. Those who prefer when Ayu has more spectacle and is more fun and more colorful are understandably not interested.

stepYOU1234 26th March 2015 08:29 PM

I know there could have been more ideas and things happening in there, but I really liked this PV and it's the best Ayu PV for me in years (maybe my expectations have gotten low?!) Ayu looks beautiful, lots of emotion and interesting lighting idea. It was subtle but I'd rather that than overkill I think. It's also the first PV in years that I have replayed :D I hope those dresses get used in the tour and as someone else said, this is pretty much the PV I had imaged if Memorial Address had had one. It fits the song. The song is great. I think this is the Ayu I've been hanging around for.

Heavenly 26th March 2015 08:53 PM

It's funny that a few days ago, we discovered a PV where there are a lot of people (WARNING) and today there is a PV with Ayu alone (Last minute).

It reminds me that not a long time ago people were complaining about she being repetitive for using "a mix" of BRILLANTE, Because of You, and Lady Dynamite for one of her latest videos... :P
