Or maybe... she'll spam it with la la la s! *gasps* lol. But I think she'll do that.

my thoughts on the new songs?
Well... Marionette: AWESOME! The best track of the album, for me... It's so deep... I can't describe how I like it X°D
GUILTY: at the beginning I felt anxious X°D I love the arrangement... and Ayu's voice melt with the music... oh gosh i love GUILTY XQ_
My ALL: Well... this is the only song that I don't like so much... It's too upbeat.. naah..
Untitled: It's so sad... It's a great ballad... I love it!ç_ç
I agree with Azmaria.. Glitter doesn't fit in the album...
I LOVE GUILTY *__*

Well, forumers here do not represent the japanese buyers. As I recalled, Glitter sold a lot more than TTM this year, even though forumers here favor TTM. So lets hope that we will have an opposite effect again...

And also, anyone here actually like summery poppy songs like me??? Lots of bashing on those types of songs here, I wonder why?

Maybe people will grow to love this album in time, like MY STORY. I recall lots of people disliking it and now it is a favorite for many.

As I recall, many people disliked RAINBOW at first too, and now every seemed to love that album. Same with (M)U.

I really like this album, the album tracks are memorable enough, too much interludes and I really think more songs would be great! but I'm gonna stop listening to the album so I'm not getting bored with it :)

Clearly, there are too many emo/hardcore here (kidding kidding) but I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that doesn't go 'ew' when I hear a cute upbeat tune. I LIKE how Ayu mixes up her albums with different genres. Her voice ties up everything anyway, so if all the tracks were all gritty and rockish, I'd get bored very quickly.

This isn't to say that I don't have a fondness for her harder songs too. Love Marionette.

I like Ayu cute upbeat songs!! I'm kinda tired that she's always rock although I love her rock songs!, hopefully next year she release upbeat pop single!!

i think GUILTY has this dollhouse+dark theme. but i donno, all the music sounded really in place, not the melody. really sorry. i still thinks ayu should do the compositions herself.

the only best song i think is mirror. its replaying in my itunes. yes, its a pathetic interlude.
don worry, my love for ayu's still here. i'm still gonna get the album :) for the dvd n the photobook :D

The Britney Spears one? Here you are! XD

As for sales....I don't think it'll sell poorly because of the sheer fact that it's an Ayu product. People will naturally be curious of her new material and based on the quality of what she's released before, I still think it'll receive great first and second week sales. From there....all we can do is hope that people like it enough for it to continue selling nicely. :O

Iam so dissapointed, sad and pissed!
I thought Secret was a "OK" album, but know compared to GUILTY, it's way better.
Until that Day, JEWEL, 1 LOVE Kiss o' Kill...Ohhh..
Man, When I listen to the previews I was excited reall! But now I feel really sad.
I mean MY ALL, untitled ~for her~ and Marionetter are so BORING. First time I say this of an Ayu song. 1 minute passed and I want to change for other music.
Then GUILTY and (dont) leave me alone are not so bored, I kinda like it, but is not that excitement like the first time when I heard kiss o' kill, rainy day, Heartplace, you know...new tracks from other albums.
Now GUILTY is a "KO" album for me LOL
Oh, I know that interludes are great and the instrumentals are really amazing. Good Job for Ayu's orchestra. But man...too much on this album: rebirth, the judgment day, Marionette -Prelude-, Mirror (I dont know If mirror is an interlude, but kinda).
The only thing that catched me was Mirror, and best of the bests, only 1 minute (plus more seconds)...
Man, Iam sad!
:(

But like Kikaru said, in the beggining many people didnt like the albums, that happened to me with Secret.

If anything it's going to effect the sales of the next album more than this one I think. People who buy this album and end up disappointed are going to be less likely to buy the next one.

I keep skipping tracks on the album meaning that most tracks still haven't grown on me. I'm kinda disappointed with GUILTY; the tunes just don't stick in my head. (miss)understood ftw. BOLD AND DELICIOUSSSS! <3

I LOVE Ayu's summery poppy songs. In fact, I love all her pop songs! And it still baffles me how people say that fairyland, BLUE BIRD and glitter sound the same... what warped thinking. But still, my favorite of all Ayu's pop songs is HONEY.

s1012h 24th December 2007 04:21 AM

i think since this is an emotionally-driven album, you need to be in a certain mood in order to be "wowed"

Mirror: Second best track on the album. It has that taskinst feeling of "the calm before the storm", where it's all quiet and then just explodes into pandemonium. I think it's fine as an intro; if it was an actual song, i think it would lose that HOL' CRAP feeling.

(don't) Leave me alone: It does remind me a bit of 1 LOVE, a crappier version that is. The PV ruined the song a bit for me, but all in all it's a good electronic pop rock song, with a strong idea.

talkin' 2 myself: I love this song, but I'm avoiding it because I overplayed it. It's such a strong rock song, probably the hardest hitting rock song from her yet.

decision: SINGING BRIDGE = <3. Not to mention this is an amazing rock song, the PV was good too.

GUILTY: It's okay... kind of bland but then again alot of her title tracks are bland, with the exception of Secret and Memorial address.

fated: I never really liked this song, but I didn't hate it. It's mediocre, and the whole single bombed for me.

Together When...: One of her better ballads in a while. However, I'm already sick of it haha.

Marionette -prelude-: Perfect mood-setter for the actual song. It has a music box feeling for me.

Marionette: SINGING BRIDGE #2 <3. This song is THE BEST in the album. It's just perfect in all ways. The lyrics, the concept, just everything is pieced perfectly. Marionette is the equivalent of kiss o' kill on Secret, since they're both pretty much the most dramatic songs on the albums. Knowing that I didn't like the preview in the beginning just sickens me :P

The Judgement Day: What an awesome interlude. The ominous creepy to techno happy transition is pretty cool, and it flows perfectly with the concept of the album. This song is the "day of judgement", when ayu has to choose whether to move on or continue mourning. And we all know what her decision is.

glitter: CRAP CRAP CRAP i can't even talk about this song...

MY ALL: Finally a happy pop song that i actually enjoy. It's like Replace #2, and i don't mind that.

reBiRTH: It's the lovechild of Kaleidoscope + LABYRINTH! It's good, but it just reminds me of the other two interludes.

untitled ~for her~: A good ending to the album. The first full listen didn't do much for me, but after a while I had the same feeling I had when I first heard the preview. It's a touching ballad that isn't rock-like, which is a nice change. Too bad it doesn't have a singing bridge, it would've sounded much better with one.

Well, the rankings on HMV and Amazon seem to be going well.. 4.5 stars for GUILTY and around 93-95 points at HMV.

I hope that it does do well though. I don't think that the reaction overseas = the reaction in Japan necessarily..

freedreamer 24th December 2007 04:37 AM

^it has always been the opposite hasnt it?

Let alone on this forum. In the album count, it only reached about 120 copies. I thought it would reach way higher.

Yeah most of the time...with some cases like back with STEP you/is this LOVE? or HEAVEN having the general same opinion.

I really can't listen to Marionette properly without listening to the prelude first to set the mood. Anyone else getting that same feel too? :P

love_destiny_J 24th December 2007 05:37 AM

^
I totally agree! :yes Listening to the prelude makes the song even scarier!

ayumisrael 24th December 2007 05:59 AM

the interludes always had good part of ayu's albums ^_^
