I DID like JEWEL, but I think that Moments was possibly her best Kohaku.

noidea 26th September 2009 06:48 PM

@waterballoon
yeah, Moments was somewhat weak(mostly volume-wise), but definitly not bad

waterballoon 26th September 2009 07:00 PM

JEWEL was okay but I noticed she sounded like she's gasping for oxygen lol and yeah I think my favorite Kouhaku moment is Moments...

Which made me realize she kinda "needs" a winter single right? Cos she can't be singing Sunset at Kouhaku and upbeat Kouhaku = wtf (fairyland... *cringes*)...

Anyway, I'm praying a-nation would be on youtube... I don't wanna download

i hope someone will upload HQ soon
just from the clips, everything looks amazing. i teared up @ ASFXX

and THIS is why they show all of her performances. they're too amazing to be left out.

zyoeru 26th September 2009 10:50 PM

O' My God. I just watched and wow, they were amazing, her vocal performance was excellent, I think Boys & Girls and Sunrise were AMAZING vocally, considering they're hard to sing. My only qualm is that Shu-ya very nearly ruined TO BE. :P

wooow!! I've just seen a-nation 09... AMAZING performance!! Ayu's vocals have been almost perfect in all songs.. maybe Rule/Sunrise not like the rest, but still good!! I've noticed that she have been more expresive this time... I don't know... I found that she was doing more movements and faces than other times ^^

POWERFUL-EMOTIONAL-FUN!!! that's how this performance is, and that's how she always is!!!!

Crystal_Ageha 27th September 2009 02:58 AM

I think all the performances were really good, all around. I thought it was a nice setlist, and the performances themselves were really fun with great vocals. :) Except, there were too many dancers (specifically for Rule, lol). But I should be used to that by now, I guess. >_<'

I agree with that. She really wasn't that bad at Kohaku prior to Jewel. And yes, I agree with noidea that it was indeed one of her worst ever. (I don't see that as rude either, its just what I thought of the performance) She missed the opening and then her vocals were very very off throughout. (especially if you have viewed the .ts file of the performance where the vocals are much more clear in the file.)

MW was one of the worst performances I've ever seen by an artist, mostly because it was just so embarrassing. And then I felt bad for her the audience seemed bored. I was embarrassed for her, it was hard to watch.

I know she was high and sick for the performance...so that just kinda made it more sad.

I'm pretty mad about the setlist...but I mean...whatever. I don't listen to half the artists there, but I do think it's unfair. Ayu's always been on another level than those other artists as well...so i guess it's not really like unexpected or anything.

I got this thread mixed up with another thread lol

waterballoon 27th September 2009 06:25 AM

About the MW Kouhaku performance... anyone ever thought it might the side effects of some painkillers that she's taking for her injured hand that caused the um off-pitchness, coming in early and all that? I thought that was the reason...

Anyway, I thought they could at least afford to take B&G out, unless it was that connected with Sunrise or whatever that cutting it would make things look awkward. O.o

love in music 27th September 2009 06:32 AM

that MW performance was pretty bad vocally, it sounded like she smoked a pack of cigarettes before the live lol
but her JEWEL performance there was awesome omg.

waterballoon 27th September 2009 06:37 AM

how do you explain her being better in PCDL then? it began a very short time later and she sang 30 songs, so she probably was ion stronger painkillers for that concert than for that single performance earlier
