following the current trend, they said~

ayufan- 15th July 2010 01:05 PM

^I think she can change(beiing different), rule sparkl single was totaly different then other songs. But i think it would be cool if she tried, just an bit different ayu is still awsome.

C+R+E+AYUMI 15th July 2010 02:07 PM

already in august? cool.

I love this title.

JackieRos 15th July 2010 03:19 PM

is this the preview?
preview
if it is clean your ears people it doesn't sound cheery and sounds nothing like a song is born

gallowsCalibrator 15th July 2010 03:55 PM

Everyone's reactions is precisely why I don't want to listen to the preview, so I don't get confused with my reaction to the preview and my reaction to the full song ;)

Who in the world said it sounded like A Song is Born? :tired Even though it's by that same composer it honestly really sounds like an ASFXX track more than anything else.

Picaflor 7/4 15th July 2010 07:49 PM

she needs to seriously lay off the guitars/drums for one song lol. they are starting to mesh together in my mind.

I don't.
Real me, Pride/Bold & Delicious were close enough. If she went RnB or hip hop...well, I probably wouldn't like her music since I am not a fan of those styles myself. I would still love and respect her as an artist, but she doesn't need to try a new genre. She has hardcore fans that have stuck with her for 11 years now...and I think if she did change into a Kumi or Namie type singer, she would lose a lot of them.

THIS. I listened to the preview, thought, "Meh," and forgot about it. But last night I looked up a HQ version of the song (admittedly, it was still only the preview Ayu posted) and thought it was absolutely amazing. Now I really want the single. >.>;;

Hextan 15th July 2010 09:04 PM

I'm hoping for a little more from crossroad, maybe a slightly different than the compositions we've been getting. Because judging it now? I know I'll grow to love it but it's just kind of... there. *shrugs*

I would have like if for this singles project she went Pop song(ex.STEP you), Rock Song (ex. 1LOVE), Ballad (ex. Dearest) that way it'll represent the different types of music she's done. Instead of the current trend Ballad, Ballad, and probably Ballad.

I'm not really diggin the title crossroads she should have just called it Cross or something..

Anyways, I'm kinda so so on this whole singles project. MOON/blossom was good, her voice sounded really good. I hope she does like a really super epic ballad for one of the next 2 singles.

I think that could apply for her singles.:yes

I feel R'n'RC had more field for experimentation and that's awesome :yes however, she's been doing too much ballads indeed, and S/S was a huuuuge let down 4 me. :eviltongu so i hope this next single somehow can compensate the excessive amount of ballads. i really dont care about the title, i want a good song :weep

^ and about your idea above, that would be ****ing amazing. A ballad, rock, and an upbeat song... like i said before, we've already had waaay too many ballads. :no

i really loved that single :)

That would be cool :D

From the comments i'm seeing, id rather stay away from that song. The idea of a nineties sound bores me to death, and i was never a big fan of her older material anyway. I hope the b-side (and especially the 50° single) can make it up this track.

AYU,PLEASE, WE WANT ROCK!!!!! :mischief

Ayu doing hip hop?

:puke

no way. Jen is right, she has done some R&B and has been really good, if she does something along the lines of some of her older songs would be indeed awesome. but american R&B? :eviltongu

waterballoon 16th July 2010 02:50 AM

wow I reli like crossroad actually. There's something really sad yet... hopeful? about it. And it reminds me a little of Replace with the ASFxx style kinda music... <3

I wouldn't mind the ballads so much if she only put some variation with them. Like maybe a piano ballad, then a midtempo sorta ballad, then maybe an epic orchestra ballad instead of Midtempo ballad constantly. And if the lyrics had some variation in them instead of them always being about how she broke up with Tomoya Nagase and she's still not over it.

And don't even get me started about her constant sobbing in the pvs lately, talk about fake, lame, and annoying.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 16th July 2010 04:45 AM

I don't want rock...we just had Microphone. I want a poppy and really catchy song, like STEP you or ourselves

I'd like that sort of pop too. Not Sunrise/BLUE BIRD/NEXT LEVEL/Greatful Days pop, but a different kind. I still think ourselves is so original.

Kogepan_19 16th July 2010 04:49 AM

I honestly don't get how people are saying there's been too many ballads. NONE of the promotional tracks for R'n'RC was a ballad, and there were 4 of them. From the new single, only MOON is a ballad in a conventional sense whereas blossom is merely a mid-tempo pop/rock song. So for this year, there has only been 1 ballad out of 6 main songs she's been putting out there...how is that too many ballads?
