It's the huge amount of eye WHITE that makes her eyes so appealing. reducing the eye white is counter-productive.
People with little eye white should just accept that they don't have big eyes, cos these contacts don't make eyes look bigger.

You do know that its not just Ayu that uses these right? If she does use them that is. Anyways Circle Lens and color contacts are a big trend going around in Japan and Asia right now.
Its all personal preference and that's what people prefer there. Just like I'm sure what I find attractive in a person isn't the same as what you find attractive the same can be applied to eyes.I think the reason people find them appealing might have to do with all the Anime and Manga character with huge eyes, big eyes are just seen as cute.

Not really its not a problem in Japan or Asia as I mention this is very common and you can find them in stores, and they exist before Ayu started promoting them. The ones Ayu is promoting just happens to be the designs she endorse. There might be problems in America but shes not exactly targeting people American is she? The product is market for the Japanese market, where color contacts are consider like another accessory like fake glue-on nails.
I've taken a Modern Japanese Culture class in school and while the contacts may seem odd for some people its very common in Japan. You can walk into a store and buy contacts with various design put them on and walk out like buying a new pair of shoes. |
