I'm actually really enjoying all the songs she has released for this era. Well, I've only heard Bitch Better Have My Money and American Oxygen lol. Can't wait!

ANTI IS OUT or rather LEAKED

It's free on TIDAL (even if you're not a member). I'm enjoying ANTI, for the first time in ages I can listen to one of her albums from beginning to end without skipping anything.

I had zero expectations for ANTI, but I love it. Even if the last 4 songs are totally different from the rest of the album.

The only songs I don't really like are Love on the Brain and Higher because I don't think her voice works with them. I could see someone like Bey singing LotB, but not her lol.

^ I'm the opposite since I adored Love On the Brain lol Very surprised with this album though. I'm glad after the endless waiting we finally got it although I do feel a bit sorry for Samsung and Rihanna that it leaked early. Anyways, I really enjoyed the album! The entire vibe is so chill. I feel like she could have kept BBHMM but whatever. Definitely buying this on vinyl if it get's released.

I'm extremely bitter she didn't include BBHMM and American Oxygen. Those songs were amazing and I really wanted them to be on a physical release. Is there any news on when Rihanna plans on releasing Anti physically?

After one round of listening I can say It's not one of my favourite albums.
Riri definitely got pretty anilcimactic with her music, I do prefer her music when it's a bit more pop and easier accessible. Currently it's kind of dragging in how the songas are structured. Though I'm glad BBHMM and American Oxygen aren't on it as both songs don't do much for me and I can listen to the album through.

Overall I really like Desperado and the later part of the album from Same Ol Mistakes onwards. I dig that retro vibe that's going on in that part of the album. Actually it somehow reminds me of a Quantin Tarantino film in regards to his music choices. :laugh

It says on Wikipedia there will be a physical release worldwide February 5th.

Looking at the album as a whole, a work of art in itself, I can see why the singles weren't included. Not only is the sound she went for with Anti very different but so is the tone. But I would like a release with the 3 singles from 2015 included, even maybe on a separate disc or something.

Rihanna won me over with this album. I've listened to her previous albums and was never impressed. Her singles always did it for me, simply amazing production. But I always felt the album tracks were lazy. Anti is pure gold for me.

Yes, ANTI will be released 5th February worldwide.
It's up on amazon since today.
Only the normal edition so far though. I'm waiting for the deluxe edition with those 3 bonus songs.

Apparently Kiss It Better and Needed Me are going to be the next singles from ANTI. According to her Twitter, the video for Kiss It Better is going to be released on Thursday at noon. I'm so happy because it's my favorite track :yes

I've come to realize I never posted my thoughts on the album.

ANTI is extremely different... But to be honest, there weren't many songs that had me coming back to listen to the album. The only songs I listen to are Work and James Joint. There just isn't much appeal in the other songs for me. I understand that Rihanna is sorta doin' her own thing now, but it wouldn't have hurt to include some more manufactured pop songs lol. But overall, I'm disappointed. The four year wait wasn't really worth it, although I will admit; every time I hear Work in the club I get HELLA low. Fantastic song. ALSO STILL BITTER SHE DIDN'T INCLUDE BBHMM, AMERICAN OXYGEN AND FOURFIVESECONDS T_T
