No, there are other people who think that it's dull.

However, I think it's very atypical of what Ayu (and most other J-Pop acts) normally puts out which is why a lot of people like it.

I think the fact that there's not much going on arrangement wise is what makes it so epic. The cello in the middle takes my soul!

This. Just look at the latest singles by Kana Nishino and Koda Kumi, they aren't bad songs, but they are very, very typical of J-Pop especially in this season. So getting "Sweet Scar" is refreshing.

I agree with u on Kana's releases, but Kumi's songs arent't typical J-pop at all imo.

Yesterday I heard this song at Daiso 100 Yen shop. Awww that was so cute, I was standing there all mesmerized by ayu's magic. I was so happy to hear her song somewhere else except my room....
