Sometimes you gotta do things that others won't be fond of. If people don't like what Ayu is doing, they are free to idolize another songstress. She's had a 15 years long career now. There is nothing to lose a this point, anymore :D

So Maro's got a ring, woohoo. I got upset over Ayu's rings she flaunted on and off her fingers with Mannie and it turned ut she was wearing the same ones 3 years before. So why the heck would rings count as proof of anything now? Look at them making out in the You and Me PV, her lips are around his upper cheek, his lips are under her chin.

Maybe they started a relationship after the filming of the PV? Loads of people start dating/marrying after meeting their partner on the set or through work. Just because they didn't have their tongues explicitly down each others throat in a music video (who wants to see that anyway?) doesn't make their future relationship void or any less genuine. Bill and Sookie from True Blood have sex scenes and have sex in real life but that doesn't mean he penetrates her on the set.
