Oh, NEXT LEVEL's covers were simply hilarious. The exploding hair, the latex-overall-dress, the rubber gloves with those splendid nails and the golden contact lenses; really loved it. And then her session at that Yahoo Live broadcast. The way she laughed etc. I thought she finally entered another mental sphere and went somewhat crazy/insane. I had plenty of fun back then. I don't mean it in a cynical way. I really appreciated that era with passion!

if you can imagine her being at te top again? it's possible. One thing i think is no longer possible getting 1mln sold units. I have a feeling all the entertainment world is made from 10% talent 40% hard work & the rest is basicly LUCK.

TRUTH. It's the good songs that have been severely lacking which makes me sad.

NEXT LEVEL whole era was perfect. All. of. it. (especially the covers)
I missed so much waiting for Ayu's single covers... It's so good, because if they're amazing, then it's great, but if they aren't... well, whatever, it's just a single! I'm all excited, but I'm not anxious at all.
I really, really, really love singles!

Yuniz_hime 20th November 2013 11:54 PM

Ayu, please give us the cover like NOW. I'm more excited about the cover rather than merry-go-round preview

pimenta 21st November 2013 12:17 AM

the covers, merry-go-round's preview, PV previews, TA version to be put for sale, I don't even know anymore what I want the most right now, I just want something! >_<

truehappiness 21st November 2013 12:18 AM

Maybe we'll get something on the 25th?

Earth_maiden 21st November 2013 01:30 AM

are single covers usually release a month before the physical release? What's the usual trend?

truehappiness 21st November 2013 02:18 AM

The last single covers were odd because it was a week apart for crossroad/L...

But let me see when MOON's came out. (7/14 release, covers came out 6/21)

crossroad (9/22 release, covers out 9/4)
L (9/29 release, covers out 9/13)

Pieces_of_SEVEN 21st November 2013 03:43 AM

yeah I actually wouldn't be surprised if we get a short version PV of either or the songs before we get the covers.

Wow reading people loved NEXT LEVEL, I love it but If I remember, when NEXT LEVEL came out, from what I remember, people saying it was her worst and they hate it. But Like most stuff, on release people will blast it and say they hate it, as with Feel the love, but give it some time and people will change there mind.

I'm glad both PV's are going on the DVD, none of this 4 versions, but I miss the pre-order bonus

I think a lot of how someone percieves an album has to go with overtime the singles become more a part of it. For example, when a new album comes out I am already tired of the singles so if the album tracks suck then my feeling will be negative. But, over time that album becomes nostalgic and the singles are a part of that. NEXT LEVELs interludes are better than a lot of the songs tho.

NEXT LEVEL had one of the strongest single releases of Ayu's discography: Rule/Sparkle. I can listen to it as if it were an actual album. Nicely produced original mixes along with the superb remixes made it a gem back in the days.

truehappiness 21st November 2013 05:41 AM

NEXT LEVEL's album tracks were all so nicely cohesive, I loved it! The singles stuck out though since they had nothing to do with the interludes/album tracks except for maybe Sparkle.

This. It took me a while to really get into NEXT LEVEL but I got to that point eventually. However till now, I still can't get into LOVE'n'HATE. Other than that, it's a pretty solid album. And Bridge to the Sky is like, one of the best Ayu interludes.

truehappiness 21st November 2013 06:05 AM

I just imagine Ayu as having a Beyonce/Britney moment with LOVE'n'HATE and I'm okay with it, haha. I will say that Curtain call was probably the only album track that attempted to fit with Days/GREEN though, so it didn't fit in with that electro-video-game narrative that the rest of the album had.
