We're finally getting Contrail Ballad Version! Yay! :heart

Great strategy releasing a best album this year after a high peak, "Ballada" will sell tons.

BTW, BALLADA means 'ballad' in my language, probably in few others too.

I only wish she re-recorded "wishing on the same star" as well, I would like at least one version (live, studio, whatever) where I can hear her pronounce "wishing" and not "we sing"

There's no gun pointed to your head forcing you to buy every release, you know?

And compilations usually are aimed for people who doesn't care enough about the artist to get the studio albums but care about the singles, so, if you already have all of those tracks, the thing is not made for you.

Damn... sometimes people have a hard time getting simple concepts @_@

So? The point is Ayu has nothing to learn from her, as she did a best with new versions and vocals before.

Pd. A BEST has 4 re-recorded songs and A COMPLETE has 2. THANK YOU.

I know but it's the only chance to have an artist re-record an old song with new (often better) vocals. Best albums were a good thing in the 90's before CDs vere common, when you had half songs on one side of a tape and half on the other and you couldn't just play whatever you like without changung sides and fastforwarding, now everyone can make their own compilation so with each BEST I'm always hoping for something that's not already on my shelf or HDD.

AUGH FREAKING OUT OVER CONTRAIL BALLAD VERSION

The covers are kind of meh to me, but oh well. I think everyone saw this coming after the polling they did last month for picking your favorite ballads, lol.

Edit: The release date is June 4th, for anyone who didn't see that. Mika, Miliyah, and Namie all destroying my wallet on the same day...

aloopy 9th April 2014 09:23 PM

^Not just your wallet lol, those 3 are my 3 faves :laugh

The covers would've looked so much better without that hat :laugh

Arena Tour 2014 has also been announced, my guess is it will be Live Style 2014, as I don't see her doing an all ballad tour... but you never know

visionfactory 9th April 2014 09:35 PM

I'm all for Ballad tour!!

SKYia 9th April 2014 09:37 PM

Just curious question, does Namie do concerts in December? I'd love to go but I don't think she ever had a tour in December.

What are you talking about? The FEEL tour and her 20th anniversary tour both had dates in December.

aloopy 9th April 2014 09:39 PM

^^Her past few tours have all ended in end december

cosmicfirefly 9th April 2014 09:47 PM

So excited for the new PVs and recordings!!! I'm not 100% in love with the covers, but they're okay, they remind me of a magazine shoot.

I never really tracked her tours so I didn't know but thanks for the answer.

I love how they cut the bits of many PVs to make it seems like it's a Can you celebrate PV :)

Sorry if I sounded a bit snippy, it just seemed like a strange question since all of her tours since 2007 or so have had dates in December.

That commercial is great! I love the way they edited it together. :luv2

I'll be in Japan from Dec 19th till Jan 5th, does she have concerts so close to the end of the year as well?

It's hard to judge based on the past few years' tours. FEEL didn't start until August because the album was released in July, the year before was a dome tour, and dates in 2011 were all over the place because of the chaos caused by the tsunami. Now that the tour's been announced we should be getting a list of dates soon. Even if you don't see a date listed for when you're going to be in Japan, I wouldn't lose hope--she's announced additional dates for all her recent tours, even a few months after the tour begins.

Is this your first trip to Japan? Are you going to any CDL concerts?

SKYia 9th April 2014 10:49 PM

It's my third, I've been to Japan in 2005 (August-September), then I went in March-April 2010 and I've attended AT 2010 in Saitama (2nd date) and now I'm going in December-January. I want to go to CDL, dunno which concert, maybe to both dates, I'm difinitely trying to hit the actual count down on the 31st but it all depends on tickets, price, etc, and if it happens that Koda or Namie also have concerts then I'll definitely try to attend as well :) I'll keep track on dates, maybe I'll get lucky.
