Leslie is everywhere. I feel like his name is behind every photo in Japan. He is inescapable.:dead2
I think the complete opposite of him. I think he sucks all of Ayu's personality out of her.

I have no strong feeling towards any of her photographers, or anyone who helps her produce any of her media. They all have hits and misses. Like Timmy. Besides my feelings about looking at him, some of the songs he has made for Ayu are fucking amazing and some... make my ears bleed.

Kazuyoshi Shimomura did both Mirrorcle World and Sunrise/Sunset so it's not like even one photographer gets it right all the time LMAO

I really hope to see a shoot that takes the nature look of I Am... and puts it into a bamboo forest. Ayu styled like some youkai would be an interesting concept for an album or photobook.

he messaged me long time ago for works. His work is amazing but not my style. He likes to use flash for photography but I prefer natural lights. He nails the flash light in most of the pictures.

Also he studied photography in the US and he understands how to capture people's shape, face, and body well.

Many other photographers in the market only use their expensive cameras and claim they are professional. They don't know how to capture the best angle from people.

I think that Ayu actually wanted to be portrayed like... how Leslie portrays her.
This is her personality.

Mirrorcle World is amazing though. One of her best releases overall.

I think the only Leslie work I love 100% are the Lands of Eden photos.

Mine would be RAINBOW and Memorial address.

They were interesting and eye catching.

Memorial addresses cover is probably one of my favorite shots of her face.

I guess it's his work with Ayu after around 2011 that I started getting turned off.

At a certain point, his stuff stopped having the luxe feel with Ayu. FIVE was good along with Colours of Hope/LOVE & HOPE but then a lot of stuff after that was like... too shiny or something and it was too much of his eccentric style bleeding into the Ayu shoots. Before, it was reined in for like that one shoot with the guy and "A Y U" letter shapes in 2002 and then 10 years later it was just random models with her making strange faces. However, I think the latest shots for the tour booklet are going back to that luxurious feel.
