Yes that's true but it's rare for Kumi's videos to have any symbolic meaning or a deep plotline. It only happens in a few videos.

I think Mishidabo is entitled to his opinion and wasn't necessarily trying to agitate you, so don't get defensive. (Although I have to say I have an infatuation with alterna)

On topic, I agree. The videos are much less interesting these days. However, I disagree that there was so much MEANING in her videos before. Usually, I like to look for hidden stuff, but I really think her videos were more or less just to look COOL or make her look pretty...with some weird, unique concept thrown in.

Even so, I've never considered Ayumi's videos to be really that great. I love her for her songs mostly--the videos mostly disappoint me. Considering she's the pop queen of Japan, you'd think she could pull something off better than the B&D PV. Seriously.

I don't think Ayu PVs has degraded. She just changes her style and it's not suit for you.

Like everybody said before, some good PVs is bad for another and some crap PVs is high quality for others. Ex: I like Step you but you don't and you like My names Woman but I don't.

Good or bad depends on your own feeling. I think Ayu still has great work in 2006. She has gone for her liveshow much (I like watching her liveshow best). Besides that, Ayu isn't the director of PVs. Anyway, her lyrics still awesome. I think I still support Ayu.

I like Ayu's PV's still.

While I can see why people would find Ayu dancing wearing dominatrix clothing and whipping people in chairs more amusing than the current set (Though she did that in My Name's Women, it wasn't as in your face as D.D.D. by Koda Kumi was), I still like her PVs.

I find it sad though that some people think Ayu needs to be emo to make good songs and PV's. Emo ayu would make me sad :(

I think her PVs are degrading this year. Compared to others, S', BTB, BB and BF are horrible >___> I love the (m)u PVs (except fairyland) so I can't really say she started going downhill since last year. But 2006's videos are a no-no. =/ [ i like BF, really.. but it's not Ayu-standart for me. ]

Can you say my name's WOMEN? That is an amazing PV that Ayu went all out for - definately one of her BEST PVs EVER!

I also have to say that I liked STEP you alot - it showed the 4 different sides of Ayu that make her, well... AYU!

Is This Love? was pretty interesting, although I was dissapointed at first because with amazing lyrics like those she could have done a really nice PLOT to the video with jealousy and another woman being involved...

She needs to keep Kouki Tange on staff full time. He should direct like every other video. :) (he did ourselves, because of you and alterna)

Why do people keep bringing up Emo? It has nothing to do with Ayu. Emotional songs exisisted well before the term "Emo" was created. :rolleyes

Heh, I was using sarcasm. I'm just saying that I've seen some people say how Ayu needs to be sad and depressed to make good music and whatnot. So I just sarcastically used the term emo. lol. No offense to real emos.

Lol. I just used the term sarcastically. I didn't mean it to be offensive or anything. I just used the whole emo stereotype of " I hate my life..." etc to describe how some people say Ayu must be be to make good music. Sorry if anyone took it offensively.

Well yes, but it is more used to refer to a style of rock that is popular right now that I think is very drab and dull and basically just as superficial as the pop songs it proports to be against. Definitely not like Ayu.

well i agree that her PVs have gotten worse over the years...Wataru Takeishi was the best. but im not saying her recent ones are awful...i love fairyland, alterna, Born to be, Pride, and Bold and Delicious...but STEP you, CAROLS, etc have been bad...its a shame that a great song like INSPIRE got a unmeaningful PV...
