I love both songs and they are very different from her other releases. I alreayd said what I like about them in the download thread.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE "FATED". IT IS THE NEW CLASSIC AYUMI BALLAD.

It is on the same level as Hanabi and Dearest. I wish it had been the A-Side.

Seriously, she has such EMOTION in her voice when she is singing it, it sounds as if she is on the verge of tears. It is the most beautiful song that she has released in quite some time.

I am SO GLAD it's a strong and amazing jpop ballad instead of a weak generic one. SO SO SO SO SO SO GOOD.

Glitter is great, but generic. Fated is a CLASSIC.

glitter disappoints me. I was hoping for something that seemed...different and fresh. Just normal poppy, happy ayu. Like every summer.
fated is a bit better. But its no real feat or accomplishment.

Maybe after I listen to it a bit, I'll like it. But I'm really disappointed. I'm more looking forward to that short 15 min. film thing than this.

^haha..maybe u set yur expectations too high...look at those who tot they would turn out to be crap because "glitter" sounded Happy pop and "fated" sounded bland...but now MOST of them love both songs

Disappointed, cookie-cutter Ayu songs. Nothing special or amazing. They're good and I like them, but I really thought Ayu would bring out something special.

well, I am in LOVE with both songs! they are great! ...somehow glitter reminds me of videogame-music XD, that's very, very good for me! *lol*

In a way, I personally think she is trying something different because some of the sound samples are pretty interesting, and she's never used them before.

The "generic" part are the melodies; they're not extraordinary, but they're still good enough to maintain a certain quality.

I know they'll grow on me though. I'm buying the single regardless =p

listened to the full versions and it does sound like she's trying out new stuff.
i love both songs! especially "fated"........ makes me really sad.

glitter : the beginning of the song reminds me of blue bird. In fact, this song resemble blue bird sometime. But it's totally different from her previous summer song. It's really powerful. The arrangement of the song is strong and different and I love the string arrangement too. Really make me wanna go to the beach and have fun while listening to this song. The song is very rich too.

fated : a very different and powerful rock song. The beginning of the song really fit for the ending (credit), and the arrangement is really good and the piano fits well in the song. The bird-like sound make the song very different. I love it.

Overall, I think it's going to be one of the best ayu single in years. I'm really excited to buy this. And it's going to be the best summer single of the year too. I hope this single will do well.

simple...fated > glitter. I hope when they refer to glitter, they're referring to both PVs....and then we get a mariah carey-esque two music video. Sounds good to me.

fated sounds pretty much like one of those songs Ayu would record for a full album release - like she did with Liar, HOPE or PAIN, Close to you, no more words. Not really amazing, rather medicore, though pretty nice.

glitter - like fairyland, BLUE BIRD and Grateful Days altogether. Again, nothing outstading, but still nice to listen to. But most of all - TOTALLY AN ANIME SONG. It should have a tie-in with some show, aside from Zespri ads.

i love the ending of fated .. she was very emotional !
