omg, you are right!

I watched ROOKIES, and Shirota Yuu was in it.

Then VOICE, and Toma Ikuta was in that one. LOL. XD

First Ai song I heard was Cherish. I don't why but I was browsing through her official site and clicked on the album tab. This was around the time LOVE COOK ws first released so it first, clicked on Cherish, and fell in love. After hearing the preview, about10 seconds later I downloaded it off of Limewire.

man Cherish's awesome downpat Melody

it's sad that she hasn't come up with yet another great angsty rock driven no. since then :(

I noticed that they used the same breathing parts in Cherish and in Kurage Nagareboshi.

The part where Ai breathes in the song, lol. XD

My first was sakuranbo also, and my first obsession was momo no hanabira. I could listen to that song on repeat for daaays at that time. :love

I think it's kind of sad how my taste in her music is so different than her other fans'? Like I REALLY do not like planetarium or think it's a good song at all, and for me LOVE COOK is her worst album (excluding LOVE LETTER) - yet everyone else's favorite is LOVE COOK and planetarium. @_@

Maybe it's because I got into her a good amount of time before planetarium came out, so I was really used to her more pop-y childish songs... explaining why I hated it when she started trying to do a more "rock" childish sound. I loved her music so much, and the moment SMILY/bi-dama came out I was like, "...what is this. -_-"

And it's all been downhill from there for me. :love Though I still do like/love a pretty decent portion of her songs since LOVE JAM, nothing will ever compare to LOVE PUNCH/LOVE JAM days for me.

As for planetarium, I just cannot like that song no matter how hard I try. It's so flat, and it just builds up to this climax that it never reaches.

sugarbasil 8th February 2009 08:05 PM

^^I can see why you wouldn't like Planetarium, though. I personally love it, but that's only because I heard it in HYD. I really disliked it before then (well...disliked isn't the right word. I just thought it was really boring >_<). So it's only because of HYD that I love it now. :) And when I listen to it images of Domyouji and Makino float through my head. :love

My first song was CHU-LIP (I actually saw the PV), and I fell in love. :luv2 Though that PV made me think her hair was always blonde. XD Then I heard Cherish next and I was officially an Ai fan after that. :)

frankly nowadays whenever I hear Planterium , BANG , HYD will come into my mind :weep

I really miss her classic works like that one & also Kingyo Hanabi & her debut single

I still find it a bit odd that her debut single didn't sold that well it's such a cheery tune

Beauty4123 8th February 2009 08:52 PM

i'm surprised planetarium would be disliked. i loved it instantly when i watched HYD for the FIRST time :laugh

I didn't even know that it was used in HYD til I watched the whole drama last year -_-'''

I know it's that bad but hey at least it's better than not knowing it at all

I love it even more now especially when it was aired on episode 3 of HYD sigh :weep

Yum!Fruit_Salad! 8th February 2009 11:41 PM

Heard Planterium without the Hana Yori Dango tie-in.

PoetGirl 8th February 2009 11:58 PM

SMILY made to like ai otsuka very much :) , i love that song to death lol, whenever im feelin' down, that song puts smile on my face, its so happy and cheerful (and yeah, childish lol)

Yum!Fruit_Salad! 9th February 2009 01:18 AM

:roflmao oh Melody :lmfao

I also like Biidama , the PV's just too cute for words

rookies 9th February 2009 07:32 AM

Bidama, ohh... the marble song... Oh, I love that song too.

I think all her songs are really good. :love

yoshino 9th February 2009 09:57 AM

I didn't watch HYD so I didn't know abt Ai's Planetarium. only when one fren of mine wanna hear it so I went to listen to it too. I don't quite like the song either. :p
But somehow I think I prefer her verse than the chorus. Same goes for Cherish.

The first Ai song I like is Kingyo Hanabi. It is <3!! the ending of the song had a climax.. it was WOW!

CHU-LIP was a different look of Ai is it? I can't help laughing when I see the pv first time of Ai's dance n all that. hahaz. But I soon like it too after tat :D

rookies 9th February 2009 10:05 AM

I actually found out about Planetarium through Ayumi's single "HEAVEN". LOL.

Back in 2005, I think Ai's single was released the week after the single, (or was it before? or the same week?) And I decided to give Planetarium a try. <3
