I still don't get what that 1.7x thing is for? Can you explain it?

how to say this ... erm ...

the sales in Oricon's site are not really the true no.s that you see . They didn't factor in online sites's sales figures & so in comes the whole x1.75 to get a better gauge of estimated sales

don't ask me why 1.75 & not other no.s , I have no idea on this

& looks like it's possible for them to clear 300K+ with no problem if this keeps up woot

I'm really surprised KAT-TUN's first day sales are so high. Looks like they are cream of the crop on the Oricon charts.

Even nowdays, it would take Ayumi Hamasaki's singles many weeks to have total sales in the 100k range. -___-

ayumi's different from KT & as such you shouldn't compare with her with the guys

it's not easy for a solo artiste to sell real well nowadays for singles . It's still possible for boybands with the power of the fangirls's spending power

The power of fangirls, LOL. XD

And yeah, you do have a good point about solo artists having difficulty selling well with singles. -___-

Duet March scans - http://dassou.aoi-tori.org/index.php?p=kattun-duet

I like it when DoS & Bakanishi Jin played Jenga & then he totally blew it :laugh & the 3 duo shots oddly reminded me of the 3 songs that the 3 guys's combo did in Best of KAT-TUN too @_@

I went to my local Japanese book store, and the JE magazines were SO EXPENSIVE!!! Ahh... I think it's $20 or more... for one issue. :thud

Unless it was some special edition magazine issue or something, I don't think I would buy it.

From the trailers/CM's, it looked full of suspense and epic. <3

I bet it's really interesting and not boring at all. :)

What did your sister say about it? Comments she made, did she like it, etc.

KarenPang 11th February 2009 01:03 PM

she likes RESCUE , she watched the 1st episode on mysjou which was a 2 hours special

although she oddly said that Maru made her laugh hmmm

2 hours for first episode? WOAH... kinda long.

Glad she liked it. :)

KarenPang 11th February 2009 01:33 PM

I just finished the 3rd episode of Kami no Shizuku . Better do a spoiler thingy :

Spoiler:
Kame character's lost this time round noooo :weep . That Issei character gave him 1 hell of a lecture at the last few mins of the episode , jerk :eviltongu

I hope Kame wouldn't become a wine addict prior to after/before the drama :laugh

SINGLES
x->1 - KAT-TUN - 79,577 (x1.75) = 139,260
x->2 - Stereopony - 5,010 (x1.75) = 8,768
x->3 - The Gospellers - 3,756 (x1.75) = 6,573

the guys outsold Stereopony at almost 1:16 , go figure

rookies 11th February 2009 03:36 PM

As I've mentioned in the Oricon thread, it doesn't matter how big the tie-in is for the competitor, KAT-TUN would still beat them.

In this case, Stereopony had a really huge Gundam tie-in, and before this single, their first single was used as the BLEACH anime ED song.
