well you know guys, after this incident. i have a strong feeling that yesasia could be buying from cdjapan, then when they got the stocks, they send it out to their customers.

reason 1: Cdjapan ships before the release date, thus they could get it before/on the release date as YA's head office is in hongkong. that's why yesasia always ships on the release date or sometimes a day or 2 after the release date.

reason 2: the USB was NEVER AVAILABLE at YA. this lead me to think they fail to get any from cdjapan. cdjapan was sold out within 2 hours, and i bet even yesasia never expect this overwhelming interest, so they had not even placed their order there. that's why when they put the link up at their site, it was immediately under 'sold out'.

reason 3: why cdjapan? coz they had been known for the fastest EMS shipping and receiving items BEFORE release date. yeah, their shipping is expensive, but if company like YA order A LOT, it will be soooo much cheaper.

the outcome, seeing their reply above only make me think that
-they will buy from others and resell(at a much higher price)
-get someone to buy at japan stores(since it was stated to have a casing like a regular cd case for displaying IN STORES, so i assume there should be some in stores) on the release date.

but no matter what, even if yesasia DO gets it, i'm 99% sure that the price will be higher then cdjapan/hmv. For those who wants it, just save up!

I totally agree! They can sell it cheaper and you would have 2 separate products. I know i would buy both if that were the case. Now i'll just get the overseas Next Level. The price of the USB is too high.

YA has put up the sold out for the usb at least half an hour before it went out of print at CDJ.

C'mon avex. Do something! XD

SURREAL__RAINBOW 17th February 2009 12:02 PM

should we fight for the ones that YS will probably bring?? lol

their answer is kinda useless... i hope they aint giving hope because they wanted to... pfft

stupid re-sellers of Ebay, they can suck on a cactus

Raleigh 17th February 2009 12:04 PM

Even on Yahoo! auctions there are a lot of USBs on sale already. I'm guessing some people are trying to make a profit off from it.

Well I doubt avex knows or cares. However it's to be expected. Whenever a limited Ayu item gets sold a lot of people try to make a profit from it. Which is to be expected since she's so popular. The only thing avex can do is produce more USBs.

It's SOLD OUT not OUT OF STOCK, there won't be more :shakehead

I'm just curious... if everything is sold out while pre-order period (let's say not only at YA, CDJ etc. but also in regular japanese shops) than will this item be ever available to buy after release date? They made from it something super rare so how they gonna promote music on such kind of media type if only a couple of ppl is able to get it?

That's a very good point.

Raleigh 17th February 2009 12:53 PM

^ I agree. Or maybe they didn't expect many fans to get it since it had a high price tag o.O

kendelle 17th February 2009 02:09 PM

This USB saga is a real rollercoaster of emotions!! I really hope there are more copies found/made once Avex realises how much we want it but I probably won't hold my breath... :(

if it's true on what LacusClyne / Genie said about the thumbdrive , then I wouldn't be surprised

YesAsia's notorious for jacking up the prices of the Japan presses of stuff that they sell .

I was told by Hazuki that after all 3 Japan presses of limited editions of KAT-TUN's DON'T U EVER STOP were restocked , each of them cost US$30 which's INSANE & that price was the same one that ll moments ll paid for 3 editions of it before that happens :thud

Despite this , all 3 of them still went outta print after that O_O

I can imagine how much the thumbdrive will cost should YesAsia be restocking in the near future or not

I was thinking about that too, and maybe they can't make a lot of them because of the Ayu logo. A lot of regular USBs can probably be made easily and cheaply, but it might be more expensive to make these special ones with logos so they can't make many of them.

Chibi_Venus 17th February 2009 10:23 PM

Nope. :no

Thinking about preordering a regular version, though... :D
