In my opinion, this is one of her... less-than-satisfactory photoshoots. The outfits are gorgeous, her hair is nice, and the make-up actually doesn't look bad. It's her expressions... Whether it's Kazuyoshi's direction or Ayu's failed cooperation, I'm just not satisfied with them. :no

Hello SunshineSlayer. You are absolutely right. I have consulted rhinoplasty for my nose as well, and I found the downtime surprisingly short. You're perfectly okay after a few weeks, with minor swelling. The swelling makes you look like you had no nose job, but then once the skin wraps around the new underlying structure, the nose job will show. Takes months to a year to show final results.

That is an interesting comparison. Sometimes, I think her nose looks about the same but most of the time, in videos in such, I think it's really different. However I still see a difference in those pics, though the lighting really makes it hard to see the shape of her nose. I should make some comparison pics too, suggesting that she had recent rhinoplasty.

these two pics are a bad comparison however... The photo she took on by herself with a cell phone camera is like 2-3 feet away from her. That causes facial distortions where the thing focused looks much larger. She has been taking so many pics lately with her nose as the center, making it look larger than it is. The photo on the right was probably done 15ft+ away. I'm studying photographer and for portraits we use "telephoto" lenses. We stand really far and zoom in so that we do not have the 'large nose' effect.

^In the last picture, her face is also tilted down, causing her nose to be differently shadowed and making it appear slightly longer.

I think the reason why these pictures look so odd to us it because of her makeup. Ayu usually has on alot of eyeliner, mascara and alot of eye enhancing makeup. In these pictures her eyes are very nude. She has no shadow on her lids and I can't see any eyeliner. It looks like they just stuck fake lashes on her and called it a day. Her eyes also appear smaller than we have seen them in a long time. I didn't even have to maximize the pictures before I said "oh my god, what the fark, Ayu?" because her eyes looked so small.

When she doesn't wear a lot of eye makeup, her eyes tend to look puffy underneath. There's a bit of that going on in these pictures. I think the problem with this photoshoot is she looks really tired because of it.

You know my favorite feature on Ayumi was always her nose. It's no longer that anymore. I still find her pretty, but not uniquely beautiful like I did before. I used to draw pictures of her all the time. Something about Ayumi's face is that I never felt her nose was small. I always saw a good size to it, with nice bone structure and overall a pleasing appearance. Now it's witch-like in photos (i don't think it's photoshop)... too long for it's width, and I'm sorry to say, kind of cheap looking. Her face is looking more and more like those generic "hot chicks" with thin noses and fake eyes. Her pre-2008 nose made her look regal, elegant, and much "kinder" looking.

Saved this pic from 2005 (my story tour big screen clips) for last... you might lol at her hair but this is the Ayumi that's cemented into my mind. I was a fan during that time so I still expect to see this face.

^ the only thing about those pics is that u can only compare the pics when she's smiling or singing something. Cause when u open ur mouth ur nostrils flare out. So if u compare the cap from Angel's Song and the one from Mirrorcle World, her nose looks exactly the same to me. Only thing is the last one is so washed out and white that her nose isn't giving any shadows.

Here's what I think. The pictures octolina posted aren't a very good comparison in my opinion. Except for in Rule, GREEN, and a little bit in Days, the difference isn't very big.

But I definitely think she did something to her nose. I mean, when I saw NEXT LEVEL, I just did not see Ayu's old nose there at all. To start with, that area between her eyes looks very thin now. Overall, her nose looks a lot thinner to me, which makes it look a lot longer on her face. Also, I think the tip of it is a lot smaller now. Here's a picture for comparison:

Sure, she's smiling in one picture and not in the other, but honestly... I don't think that matters because in these pictures her nose looks VERY different.

My nose looks really different when I open my mouth/smile so.. did I get work done? If I did, I really have no idea that I did, omg.

the problem is her eyes. If she wouldn't open them so much she'd have a sexy pout going on.

Yes, well, no one can hope to prove anything Ayu-related to you since you have this opinion that Ayu can do no wrong, and if someone doesn't like something Ayu did, then you can always come up with 400+ excuses for why they don't like it other than the fact that it might just happen to suck.
