I recently discovered her idol era works and I'm really digging I.L.Y. ~Yokubou~. It reminds me so much of Alanis Morisette haha!

^Actually her idol era works were even earlier than that when she fronted the dance group D&D. She was actually quite similar to Namie and the Supermonkeys. :)

Yeah, it seems Japan actually preferred her in that kind of music and it seemed at the time that Avex might have been grooming her to be the "next Namie". It takes some getting used to, but I actually like D&D.

Hm...yeah, I'm just too used to her music.
Knowing she didn't like that type of thing has me biased though...
