on Last minute's PV (again):

I was watching the "making of Last minute" and there was this particular scene where the camera was filming ayu from behind the chair.

and then it seemed to me as though, the audience is Black Ayu. The audience is the one giving Ayu the condescending looks, smirking at her as she is breaking down and in turmoil. Then it suddenly hit me, how powerful the PV is.

not sure if anyone did mention this before.

Maybe Ayu will partner with ST for a collab? And Miranda is like the brand ambassador haha.

truehappiness 17th April 2015 06:14 AM

Did they elaborate on the meaning of Last minute in the making? I feel like they touched on it but I didn't entirely grasp the Japanese.

hayasaki 17th April 2015 07:07 AM

I think I heard ayu wanting to emphasize that the singing one (red ayu) and the other one are on different worlds thus the lightning effects and such. I'll try to analyZe it later :D

I'm feel like A ONE is a explanation about how her fans and her was ONE but now she wants to try ALONE, leaving the things she wants to leave but at the same time she can't continue alone without her fans cause they are all for her. Although, it's possible too that the message don't go to the fans, cause they are important. So it's possible that it was refer to the audience in general (japan, international public etc)

I feel the message from A ONE: Ayu herself, her record company, her management, her dancers, all her support staffs, and fans are ONE, without any of them, nothing is going to happen and Ayu can't be today's Ayu... The Countdown concerts, the tours, songs, singles and albums, without any of them, they are not going to happens, because she can't do it ALONE...

I love how there are so many different ways that "A ONE" can be interpreted! I like a little bit of mystery. I hope she doesn't come out and say exactly what it means because I like the fact that each person can have their own interpretation of the title. :)

It's kind of annoying though, when Ayu herself said "you'll understand when you get the album!" Like...the packaging or anything didn't do anything to clarify the meaning, so I wish she would have just kept her mouth shut.

I translated one of her interviews. It gives some interesting insight in the album ==> here

Amazing interview.

If I remember correctly, didn't she just say something along the lines of "feel free to try and work it out once you get your copy"?
I'm assuming she meant that you could listen to the lyrics and try to understand the meaning, not that there would be something in the packaging giving away the meaning.

Andrenekoi 17th April 2015 08:53 PM

^Some people around here expect her to either be too obvious or release a tutorial with everything... It's ok to have your own meaning and understanding of a piece of creative work.

truehappiness 17th April 2015 08:59 PM

She basically answered what the meaning of A ONE was in that 109 interview (and I imagine in SCawaii since she seems to talk about the same things there). I think for the most part, the songs told the story rather well.

It is a bit upsetting to know she did so many other songs that didn't make the final cut for A ONE.

On the bright side, I'm sure we will hear them some day on future releases :)
