I don't think BoA can manage YUI. YUI's on a roll right now, while BoA's continuously mediocre. It's a smart move to include 3 main tracks on LOVE LETTER, but they're B-sides and theme song of a movie starring Erika Sawajiri > 2 B-sides, in my opinion.
I'd love to be wrong, though. :P

Well BoA's sales haven't been that great lately so I don't have big expectations for this single.

I haven't heard LOVE & TRUTH, but I think LOVE LETTER is an awesome song, and an awesome single as well.
Anyway, sales are not that good, and I thought this single would do better than g/f.. Well, let's wait some more time to see if this single can stay longer in the charts ^^'

Just out of curiosity, what is Ayu's lowest selling single? (I know it must be one of her early ones, but I just have to wonder...) The irony would be too great.

I think that BoA's LOVE LETTER would sale more. Japanese are really strange about music so if we like something it's don't mean that japanese will like it too.

No. Her lowest selling single is her first single: poker face. Of course nothing from nothing but it is not a "real single".

All of the singles of A song For Xx sold really low.

second day sales went up, hurray! If Ayu can get 40,000+ within the next three days she's got herself a 100,000-seller for sure.

hmm...this reminds me of the Secret situation...most of the material on that album was of rock nature...and t2m is definately a rock single..

sure! A song for Xx stayed for three weeks at the top of the oricon album chart. A song for Xx (album) was a success for ayumi. The singles of A song for xx no ^^

I agree in a way. I'm pretty sure that avex will do anything possible to maintain Ayu's streak. It's easy to see how they try to release her singles not to be in direct competition with other huge artists.

sometimes a competition can increase the sales of both artists...ok maybe ayu can't take number 1 but maybe the sales are better.

just for the fact that the single is really good, is enough for me. sales doesnt really matter anymore. and im sure ayu knows that better than anyone of us. and i dont even think that she releases anything now with hopes that it would sell miracalously like before. shes been there n done that, all she cares now is to make good music for us.
