K8 was formed before NEWS (all 8 of them have known each other since the dawn of time). that's why if you heard of Ryo being a bitter bear during NEWS' debut period, it was because he was so sure that he was gonna debut with K8.

but, all is well since K8 got to debut too. hehe.

yeah, i don't find any of them drop dead gorgeous, but i'm such a sap for great personalities and a super inspiring story. K8's story has got to be the most heart-wretching story. from performing to like, 200 people to Tokyo Dome.

K8 is better imo, they are not like regular boybands that only look pretty or dance 24/7 they make great funny shows! :P

So eventhough K8 was first NewS got more popular? was it because of yamapi?

Well to be honest I dunno much NewS I met k8 first and time later I found out about NewS, I enjoy their music still I prefer eito :P

K8 & Arashi definitely have the funniest tv shows for sure ^^
i adore K8 =D there my 2nd favorite JE group after Arashi :)
I really like NEWS too...but K8's music and members appeal more too me ^^

NEWS made their debut in 2003, while K8 had their debut in 2004. JE made NEWS' debut bigger than K8's debut as well. K8 had like no budget whatsoever. :( they had all their focus on NEWS and KAT-TUN was really gaining momentum as Johnny's Juniors leaders too.

i prefer Eito > NEWS too (at times i tie them w/ my babies, KAT-TUN. i absolutely love when they collaborate). they've worked SO HARD to get in the place they are now. as much as i love NEWS, they have really boring personalities, sorry! these boys know how to put a smile (or a full blown LOL) on my face. :heart

anyway yah k8 has worked hard! and I'm happy for them as well... they and perfume are gettin pretty popular! they deserve it!

LOL. yeah, like I said in the NEWS thread, i'm becoming less and less of a YamaPi fan (i used to LOVE him). i agree, he does have "one face."

i'm so glad about their success! i believe they have the yearly number 1 DVD (their amazing "47" concert) right now! GO GO EITO! :heart i love Perfume also. GAME was amazingggggg.

yep, they have the highest selling DVD this year (so far). :yes i definitely, definitely recommend it. 47 = TOUR 2007 cartoon KAT-TUN II You (my favorite K-T con), imo

Yokoyama got ridiculously hot during/after Yuukan Club. he's so good at playing those types of characters (the smart, manipulative ones)!

Yoko's one of my favorites too. Tacchon, Yoko, Ryo, & Maruyama are my favorites.

^Oh. My. Goodness. Seishirou is AWESOME. Yoko's role in YC made me like him even more. I was like "Wow~" when I heard him speak as Seishirou.

yay the 47 dvd is amazing...i love it :)

i think they really blend a musical/dorky aspect to their concerts! K8's the only other group other than TOKIO that plays instruments. (i think K8's the modern TOKIO, actually.) so you really get a sense of true music in their concerts too.

one of the reasons why i love Tacchon is because he plays drums. :heart
