well,i came across this and wow,this is soo old and i never watch this before.so, i want to share it here.Ayu looks really innocent there :D i just wanna know what is this show about?

I have this video on my computer since long. When I first watched this, I was like "OMG, her eyes look totally different". There are some parts in the face, that doesn't change a lot while maturing, like the nose and eyes. Actually................

I remember there's also a magazine with pics of ayu with this old woman ^^

just wondering if shes the one that Ayu's hugging at the back stage after she finished the CDL 05-06 show?anybody remember it?

i remember she hugging somebody an old woman, but donno if it's this old woman..
i mean if it's more than 10 years that Ayu met the old woman.. at the time, the old woman was already old..i wonder if she still *sorry* alive?

anyway Ayu's so cuteee..
she's not changing so much from the old her though.. her laugh remains the same.. the smile..the talking..even though the current vocal is deeper and rougher~

i tought that old lady might be the woman from the cdl05/06 but i doubt it... she's so old in this vid, i doubt she lived for another 11 years, she's barely movin so great here, there's pretty-much no way she could be so 'genki' in the cdl 05/06 :P

Ahh I'd never seen this before, but I do know of the picture that people are referring to of young Ayu with this woman. I'm sure I have it here somewhere; I'll take a look unless someone beats me to it.

for me,shes not really different from the Ayu that i know now,and her eyes are big at that time at least not like other japanese that is quite small and slanting eye,so yeah...:D

Wow her presence back then, she seems like an innocent teenager. Well mannered, her voice is much softer and higher pitched than it is now. I think she had a bad ass rebellious stage though :) its just the image Iget from NOTHING FROM NOTHING.

She still looks the same to me, just some elements of her face differ like her teeth. Her face looks flatter too bahaha but I think that's just me.

It hard to believe that that young girl grew up to become the woman we all respect today~Comparing her interview appearance to the all glammed up Ayu in our icons its a wonder how much people can change/acheive in their lifetimes. I mean she looks like any other commoner here.

would be nice if they make a new documentary of Ayu now,i want to see it as shes more popular now :)

The show is called "OTTE! GABURI", and it was broadcast in 1994. This episode dealt with "behind the scenes of entertainment production", showing up and coming talent trying to hold on to their status as entertainers, trying to get their careers rolling.

In this video, Ayu (at 15) is staying at the home of Masahisa Aizawa (president or vice president of Ayu's talent agency Sun Music... I think he was president at the time, but I know he's VP now, as of the whole Noriko Sakai thing that happened recently) and his wife Teruko.

It starts with him asking Ayu if it was cold out, she says it was. KaNNa was another up-and-coming aidoru staying there (they're both freeloading, basically), so they walk by her on the way to the room where Ayu's gonna be staying.

Ayu says "My goal is to become a big star... even if I get nervous or fall down, I'll always be optimistic." (the second part of that is the youtube video's title)... then Teruko teaches Ayu the customs of the household as far as dinnertime and stuff, and then they're all sitting together.
